One swollen eye?

DS woke this morning with an eye so swollen he had a hard time opening it (I didn't see it b/c it was DH who went to feed him) but by the time he woke for the day at 6:45 it had gone down enough that I might not have noticed it. I was concerned because he tried (and hated!!) avocado for the first time last night, but had zero reactions for 2 hours afterwards so figured we were in the clear. I searched online (and called pedi, obviously) and my results said this occasionally happened to babies, mostly randomly. Sometimes due to sleeping positions. Just wanted to see if anyone here had ever dealt with this?

Same thing happened to my little guy a few months ago. We hadn't started solids yet so I know it wasn't that. Just like your LO, it subsided shortly. It hasn't happened again!

This had happened to A maybe a month or 2 ago. She is a tummy sleeper and the pedi said this can happen occasionally. For us it was just the way she had slept. It went down soon after.
