High Chair

Hi, I am looking for a high chair. My little guy is almost 5 months. Right now we have a Phil and Ted Lobster, but he can't sit up himself yet so I wanted something else so he can sit at the table with us now. 

Price isn't a huge issue, I just want something that works well. I don't want a space saver because I plan to move him around between our kitchen and dining room and we don't have a table (just a countertop) in our kitchen. I was looking at the OXO Sprout, but the reviews say it is hard to clean (true?). We also live in a large city so we don't have a lot of room, I need something somewhat compact (like the OXO) I can't have a gigantic chair, we just don't have room. 

Any ideas?

The ikea highchair is easy to clean and move and only $25.

We have used the FP space saver for both of our sons but plan to buy the IKEA high chair this time. It takes up less space and looks like it will be easier to clean. The FP is a little gross after two kids.

My best friend has the OXO Sprout high chair and it's a really nice chair and she generally loves it.  However, I've heard that there's something weird about the seat cushion that makes it hard to clean.  After having a FP Space Saver for DS #1, I'm also planning to get a full-size chair for DS #2.  Right now, I'm leaning towards the new Nuna Zaaz high chair.  It's not available everywhere yet, but Giggle has it and it's about the same price as the OXO chair (there is a steel grey color available on other sites as well):

I also had the Stokke Tripp Trapp at one point, but I didn't like it and sold it on Craig's List after two months.  It was easy to clean and had a small footprint, but it had no cushioning (DS hated sitting in it) and if you have an infant, you have to pay extra for an infant seat set (plus another $90 if you want a tray!!)

We have the Peg Perego Siesta and love it. It is very easy to clean, it has wheels so it's easy to move (the lock so the baby can't push it when they are bigger) and it folds flat which is nice if you want to put it away.

There is also a tray that goes with it.

Get the sprout. I live in a tiny apartment and it works great for us. It is easy to clean. You just cannot dishwasher or immerse the tray which is fine. I wipe the tray down and it's good to go.

The only think I'm a little annoyed by is that the surface on my seat pad is starting to wear off and the replacement pads are expensive.

A $250 high chair and you can't submerge the tray???

The only thing is he couldn't use that until he could sit unassisted.

I like the look of that one, I will check it out along with the Sprout!

I really like that this one reclines! I will have to check it out in person to make sure the foot print isn't too big. Good suggestion!

We registered for the graco 4 in 1 blossom chair. I liked that it reclined and that it has multiple seats to use with 2 kids (thinking of the future). The only con is that it doesn't fold up, but I saw it in person & it's not that big. You can also put the tray in the dishwasher.
