Babies movement

Hi everyone, I'm 26 weeks pregnant with twins and I barely feel them move, I have to really stay still and concentrate to feel them occasionally. I am not worried or anything as everything has been going well, i am a ftm and was just wondering if multiples move less due to there being less room in there for them or does it just depend on the mom And babies?

Re: Babies movement

  • Do you know where your placentas are? With multiples you are more likely to have anterior placentas which decrease the movement you feel.

  • FTM here, so I don't know if it depends on the mom & babies, but I do know placement of the placentas matter, like Jenstwins said.  What does your OB say?  Glad you aren't worried about it :)  If it makes you feel better my baby A's feet can reach my ribs now and loves kicking them.  And baby B's toes tickle my bladder...

  • Another reason could be babies position...my A I feel kick hard and constant. B I barely feel as his feet/hands are turned inward so I only occasionally feel a nudging type feeling from his back....on u/s he is actually the more active one which seems so strange since I never feel it!
  • I have not felt mine yet, I know baby A has an anterior placenta and B has a posterior so they have surrounded themselves! I have a home doppler that I will use to ease my anxiety.

That's exactly how mine are and they were both facing in as of a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure baby b moved toward the outside bc this week I can feel him like crazy. I feel baby a, too, but only way down low and not on the outside.

  • Thank you for all of your responses. My OB hasn't mentioned anything about how the placenters are postitioned so I'll be sure to ask next week at my app
