I did three different protocols. My first attempt I started with BCP, then started Lupron, then I waited for AF, decreased Lupron, and started Estrace. I would have added PIO right before transfer but my cycle was cancelled b/c my lining sucked. For my second attempt I was just on Estrace. The estrogen also acts as a suppressant. Then I would have added PIO but I was cancelled again. My third attempt was a natural FET where they just monitored my cycle closely and scheduled my transfer so it was timed correctly after I ovulated. I also started PIO the day or two before my transfer. That's the cycle that brought us our twin DDs. Good luck with your cycle!!!
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2 After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
We have had 3 FET cycles so far, one resulted in my son, one failed, and one is my current pregnancy. For me i start bc for 10 days and stop, get a period 48 hours later then start lupron for a couple weeks, then estrace and stop lupron, and start PIO just before my transfer, whole thing start to finish is 5 weeks for me, and 3 ultrasounds and then my transfer... Very simple compared to a fresh IVF... Good luck!
Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses.... All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!
Mine was pretty simple too. Started BCP to suppress, did saline sonogram. Once I got my period, I started estradiol, had baseline ultrasound, had a midcycle ulttasound, started PIO, and then did the transfer. I did not have Lupron since I'm DOR and basically suppressing myself already.
I have had one failed FET and I just started FET #2 on Christmas Eve. I had to have bw done and a saline sonogram before starting my first FET. Here is my protocol:
On day 21 of my cycle, I go for bw and as long as I ovulated, I start Lupron that night. About 7 to 10 days after starting Lupron, I get my "Lupron period". I then schedule a baseline and as long as everything looks good, I can decrease the Lupron and start estrogen patches. At this point, I receive a transfer date. BW every 4 to 5 days. About 7 days before my transfer, I go in for another u/s to check my lining. I stop Lupron and start PIO 5 days before my transfer. From start to finish, it's about a 6 week process. Much less appointments then a fresh cycle though!
I'm in the midst of my one and only FET. I started suprefact on cd 21. On the next cd1 I started ASA. Cd 3 I started Estrace and antibiotics. Cd 15 I have an ultrasound and if my lining is 8mm+ I stop suprefact, start prometrium and have the transfer cd 17. They may have done a baseline u/s had I been local but I am travelling cross country for the FET due to a recent move. GL.
