@ScarlettDahlia Update - In L&D - Final Update: He has Arrived!!

I heard from @ScarlettDahlia a little while ago. She has been in L&D since last night and is in the process of being induced. She's still hanging in there and unfortunately there's nothing really to report. They gave her cervidil last night and it didn't work. Cytotec was then given earlier today and she has been having mild contractions since. They plan on checking her again in a couple hours to decide if they will be starting pitcon or trying another round of cytotec. She is holding up well and got a little sleep last night but unfortunately the beds aren't too comfortable.

Lets send her some T&P so things speed up and she can meet her LO soon!  :)

UPDATE 6:38 PM : Just heard from ScarlettDahlia. She's only dilated to a tight 1. The plan is to do another round of cytotec and then will be starting pitocin after. She's a champ, in good spirits, but bored as hell.  

Maybe we can post a few encouraging and fun gifs/pics to keep her entertained? I'm picturing her LO practicing some ninja moves getting ready to take charge…

12/31 - UPDATE #2 at 8:05 am: She's still hanging in there folks! After contractions that were coming a minute apart, she was still only 1 cm dilated. The doctor inserted a foley bulb and she got her epidural. She hasn't slept since during the day yesterday but is feeling much better with the epi so here's hoping she gets some rest before her cute NYE baby arrives. As a side note, he's a feisty one and kept kicking at the monitor and moving away from it all night (I think it's those ninja moves!)  Comeon ScarlettDahlia!! You can do it!!!

12/31 - UPDATE #3 at 11:37 am: Hooray for some progress!! Last check she was almost a 3 and paper thin. The doctor is going to come and break her water at lunch time. It has been hard to stay positive with things taking so long but now it's getting exciting!!

12/31 - UPDATE #4 at 6:07 PM: Ok, so it's slow and steady but still moving in the right direction. Scarlett is dilated to about a 6 (the foley fell out). The doctor broke her water but that lil' baby is still really high so they are working on getting him to drop. She has been able to get a little sleep in between the nurse coming in and out but she's VERY thankful she got that epidural in the morning. At this point, she's starting to get bored and irritable, obviously because no one expected this to take as long. To help LO drop, they were having her flip from side to side every 30 minutes and now they have converted the bed to a chair. They are hoping gravity will help LO make his way down. They have also increased the pitocin to see if they can get some stronger contractions to help out. I'll continue to keep you ladies posted!

12/31 - Final Update: They checked around 7:00 and LO had dropped. Things progressed very quickly and Elliot Raymond was born at 7:22 pm. He is 5 lbs 8 oz and 18 inches long. Congratulations @ScarlettDahlia!!!!!!
