I made DH check the stick! He just started smiling and nodding his head..I couldn't believe it! My first appointment is 1/13. I think at my first appointments in the past, they did an ultrasound and either took blood or sent me to get it drawn.

@hollster8 I'm pretty sure the receptionist said I'd see an ultrasound technician first and then the doctor on January 24th. I didnt really know what to expect.

Joining you ladies . I'm due with our first on 9/2/14. I had an ectopic in August so I've had a few betas already. 14 DPO- 888 and 16 DPO - 1664. I'm really hoping this is our take home baby!

@hollster8 When I called the OB office today they asked when my last cycle was and made the ultrasound/ first visit appointment based off of that. What I've seen so far on here It seems to vary quite a bit from doctor to doctor though.

This is exactly how mine will go, too.  This is how it went last time, I guess I'm just impatient.  I want to make sure that little bean is in there!

Our's 1700!  All looks good, my doctor is pleased.  Can't wait for the ultrasound.  Now, you got 4000?  Sounds like there's a good chance you're having twins!  When will you have your ultrasound?

Same here.  I got in right away for my confirmation appointment here on the Air Force base, but they don't have an OB at the AF clinic, so they immediately transferred me out to to the Army hospital here.  

I knew I would have to wait for an actual OB appointment, I didn't think I'd have to wait three weeks just to do my intake/paperwork.  They are one of only 2 OB clinics on island for Active Duty military, so they are super busy, so it makes sense, I guess.

I got my BFP on the 29th, my birthday! It was a great gift. I just turned 35, and this is our first. We are excited, but waiting to tell until after we visit the doctor. Anyone have a great plan for explaining why you're not toasting in the New Year?

@crystalangel79 We found out the day after Christmas. We plan to tell everyone after my first appt. on 1/24. @saraPEwell I'm just going to ask for Sprite in a cup tonight. My friends will assume its full of alcohol.

I'm planning on telling my parents and husbands dad as soon as I go to the dr of jan 13 and get the all clear. Everyone else I am going to wait until 10ish weeks. I have told a few girlfriends, but that's it.

I tested Christmas Eve and told DH and DS on Christmas morning.

We then told my immediate family and MIL Christmas as well .  We would have normally waited but we announced DS's pregnancy on Christmas as well so it was special for us. 

We also told FIL and our Best Friends who happened to stay with us last week.

We'll announce publicly in February.

We've already told our families, but I'm having a friend make DS a Big Brother shirt, so as soon as I get that I will be announcing to everyone! It's killing me to wait!

I have a mom and mother-in-law that can keep a secret for approx. 15 minutes, so I think I'm going to wait a while to tell our parents.  I've told my sister and best friend, but that's it for now.  With my frist pregnancy I was so nervous about it I waited until 12 weeks to tell anyone!  I'll probably tell sooner than that this time, but not sure when.  Like I said, I have to be okay with EVERYONE knowing if I tell either of our moms, lol.

We haven't told anyone yet either. I am dying to, but our families cannot keep a secret and we are afraid once we tell one person it will spread like wildfire. We have our first doctors appointment next week, and I was planning to wait until 12 weeks, but I honestly don't think I am going to make it that far. Now I am thinking 8-10 week range...

I wanted to tell my mom and dad as soon as I found out... but hubby doesn't want me to yet... So we're waiting until the end of Jan, which works out well since it's my parent's anniversary so it'll be a nice surprise for them

Sept 9th here! Our first! It still seems so surreal. I don't think I'll really believe it until I can see the baby on an u/s. can't wait to get to know you all better!

I'm due September 14, just found out yesterday! I took a test just to see if I was able to have a few drinks for NYE and ended up getting a BFP!

We are wanting to wait until 12 weeks.  Don't know if that will be possible.  I'm already having strong symptoms and my kiddos are picking up on it.  My six year old kept asking me if I was sick and why was I going to the doctor.  Once we tell them..I will probably have to tell the whole family.

I'm due 9/13!  Found out on New Year's Eve!  What a way to start the new year!  A couple of pregnancies, but sadly no baby yet.  It is still really early, so I'm nervous, but very excited and happy.

I found out on Friday, at 3 weeks 4 days, with a First Response Early Response. I'm really nervous because I just had a baby three months premature in August due to pre-ecclampsia. I also had hyperemesis gravidarum. It was a rough pregnancy, so I was very surprised to find a second line on my test. We had been talking about when we were going to start trying again (we want a big family, close in age), but we were not expecting to be pregnant quite this soon. Happy and healthy 9 months to all of you!

I had a premature baby in May so I understand your position. Hopefully we both have full term babies come September.
