  • Hi everyone! I am 22 weeks and starting to feel the gags coming back- ruh oh! Hopefully it is just a bad day!
    No update though.

Qotw- for Christmas, I just asked for gift cards to the furniture store where we want to get our nursery set from. Really, I want an iPad or a some form of a tablet but we need so much for the little guy that I didn't mention it.

Happy Holidays to all that celebrate!!!
I will definitely be praying for KFlynn during this time. It just isn't fair at all...

  • Hi ladies. I'm approaching week 22 and feeling good. Baby is kicking a lot. Next appointment is on Friday.

I know this sounds cheesy, but I really don't want anything this year. I'm not typically like this - I'm usually telling DH my list all year. :) But this year I feel so incredibly blessed to be pregnant and to watch my sweet girl experience the magic of Christmas. I have an incredibly loving husband who I adore. I have everything a girl could need. :) I can't wait to watch others open their gifts. We are surprising my SIL and BIL with godparents books and a cute poem to ask them to be baby's godparents. They will be thrilled. DD is is getting a bike. Can't wait to see her face!

  • Hey everyone! We had a great a/s yesterday, which feels great. Im so grateful for this healthy baby!! I have a slight placenta previa, but I'm feeling confident it will resolve in time for me to have a vaginal birth. It does most of the time...90%. I'm excited to bring pictures of our baby to family today and tomorrow!

This year I'm asking for a set of essential oils from DoT.erra for Christmas. I'm excited to start using them to maintain our family's health, especially since my naturopath encourages the use of certain oils for pregnancy and PP. :-)

I can't stop thinking about KFlynn. I am so overwhelmed by her painful journey. I'll be praying an extra prayer for her family this week.

Christmas is such a busy time. i hope everyone is able to enjoy it! Merry Christmas everyone!

  • My last check-in! 27 weeks! Last week I didn't think I'd make it to third tri :) Physically I'm doing well, as are the babies. No contractions, still no signs of infection. Emotionally, I'm a bit of a wreck. I would honestly rather just bypass Christmas this year, and DH and I probably would have if not for DS. Spending Christmas in the hospital sucks and the thought of potentially being here until February is daunting. But I'm thankful to still be cooking these babies, so I'm just trying to hang onto that.

QOTW: I really don't know! Maybe some gift cards to non-maternity stores so I can treat myself to a new outfit when this pregnancy is finally over!

  • Hi ladies. Many T&P out to kflynn, her H and jack. I'm at a loss for words.

I am doing good at 16w today. I started taking b6 yesterday along with some unisom last night for my horrible nausea. I've noticed a mark able difference today so hopefully feeling better will continue! The last few days were just horrible! We go in on Monday for our next appointment, should just be routine right? I'm not expecting an u/s, but we shall see.

I honestly don't ever ask for much in the way of gifts, I am so hard to shop for! All I wanted this year was a nice pair of gloves, hopefully H listened ;)

  • Hi all. I am 16wks with my twins! (Due date June 5). A little less nausea but stomach still gets upset easily. It is funny when your stomach starts getting big. I just get a kick out of it and am so thankful. Starting to run into my desk, trouble reaching the floor when I'm sitting and my coats look like "fat guy in a little suit!" I know I haven't seen nothin yet!! Next appointment isn't for 2 more weeks, but I have a doplar at home that keeps me happy! I have a long way to go and this was the week I had my first mc so I will be thankful to have this week behind me! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.

  • Hi, I was out of town for the first week I should have posted here so I'd like to be added. I'm due 6/17 with twins.

QOTW: If I were being totally selfish, a maid service. And maybe a cook. I'm still almost constantly nauseous at 15 weeks, which makes cooking almost impossible.

Philly hope its just a bad day. I get those every now and then.

Rosyglow you are right that thete will be a high chance it corrects itself. Mine did with DS1.

Twistandturns the unisom itself is awesome huh? Yay to an improvement in nausea. And yes the 16 wk appt should just be routine.

Rcnavywife yay to third tri. Sorry you are in the hosp for Christmas. Hugs.

Maitaibeth keep up the great work with keeping those babies cooking.

Rachnan so glad you past your test. Im worried about mine here in a few weeks.

Anations this is a big milestone. Yay.

Update on me. Im 23 weeks. Next week I have a ffn test and FX its negative.

Im with MJC in that I dont need anything. ;). I have all I already could have asked for.

I am 19 weeks and 6 days. Feeling good! Last night we did Christmas with my family and I wrapped an ornament that said "It's a girl!" My parents were so surprised and tickled pink!

This year I really just wanted a normal anatomy scan and quad screen, so I got my wishes! My hubby got me a new kindle so I am pretty fired up about that too!

  • 16w3d here. Not much to update. Anatomy scan is Jan 15. Still waiting to pop but wearing mostly maternity pants now.

QOTW: DH went over the top this year. He got me a beautiful diamond wedding band to replace the cheap stand in we used at our wedding. It was a complete surprise, I was so shocked. I cried. He also got me two cute little baby toys. It was amazing. We are just so thrilled to finally have everything we have been wanting. DH said the ring was the last thing to make it all complete! I can't believe he is still so good at surprising me after all these years!

  • Sending all my love to kflynn. We've journeyed our IF path together and my heart is beyond broken. There are just no words. Praying so hard for them.

24w5d today. Babies and I are doing great. I even got a slight decrease in the sciatic pain today though I don't think it'll last. We see the OB tomorrow.

Qotw: honestly it was hard to think of anything. This time last year, we just found out about failed ivf #2 and all I wanted was ababy. Its so different this year. I'd love maid service or a massage.

  • Hi Everyone,

I'm 18 weeks and 2 days.  We have our 2nd level U/S and A/S on January 2nd.  Hoping the new year brings us some good news and we will finally know if we are team pink or team blue!  This past week I found out I have underlying chronic hypertension.  Doc put me on methyldopa which has worked and I have been having great B/P readings at home since being on it.  I'm also on my pre-natal every other day instead of every day because of the severe constipation it was causing.

QOTW:  I can think of a million things I wanted selfishly for Christmas, but this year DH & I asked for gift cards to Home Depot.  We have really old creaky doors on our second floor and we want to be able to replace them all and put new carpet in our room and the future nursery.  We have a lot of painting and little things to do, so Home Depot was practical.  A few of my selfish desires?  A new KitchenAid mixer, an iPad air, a new Kindle.... but right now I'm putting my personal desires on hold.

    T&Ps to KFlynn - I can't even imagine what she's going through.
    All Welcome!

  • Hi everyone!  I'd officially like to be added to this second tri group as of Christmas Eve!  EDD is 6/24/14, we have one bean and we're team green!

As of today I'm 14w2d and I'm feeling pretty good, but my appetite still isn't what it used to be, and certain foods and I don't agree - but the nausea seems to have subsided.  The only thing that seems to trigger it are citrus beverages like OJ or lemonade, which ironically are what I'm craving - figures; otherwise, all is well!  I do feel some new pressure down below and I'm actually starting to show a little (can't suck this puppy in anymore!).  I'm also a stomach sleeper and I can still sleep on my tummy, but it's getting harder - I need my pillow to put my leg on now to give a little bit of space.  I have my next midwife appt this coming Saturday, so hopefully everything still looks good!

QOTW:  I really didn't have much on my list this year, I guess my mind has been occupied :-).  However, if I HAD to say something I would say money to remodel our main bathroom, even if just a loan from my parents.  We have a private mortgage, so taking out a HELOC for these types of things isn't an option for us.  Our current main bathroom needs an overhaul and I myself wouldn't take a bath in the tub, so I certainly wouldn't put a baby in it.  Our kitchen sink is also old and gross, find for doing dirty dishes, but I would feel skeeved putting a baby in there.  So this is one of my top priorities to figure out right now.  I think the most economical things might be to replace the kitchen sink, but we'll see what we decide to do.  I know this was a tangent, but it's something that stresses me out everyday because I just want the best for baby!

Hello all of your fine ladies! I am chugging along here 27 weeks! I think I am just about to leave 2nd tri, but it's been amazing! My stomach is looking bigger by the hour and I'm nervous that I'm going to gain too much weight (I've gained 10 pounds total from 2 weeks ago, too scared to step on the scale again!). I have an ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow just for the heck of it. My husband had been a nervous wreck every since our abnormal NT Scan (even though blood work suggests everything is fine), so the doctor scheduled us for another ultrasound just to give him peace of mind!

QOTW: My dream gift would be a vacation to Italy! I've always wanted to go, and now that baby is due soon I think it's going to be awhile before we get there!

  • Hi everyone, can I join? :) I'm 14 weeks now, wooo hooo! I'm due 6/22 with one bean.  I'm feeling much better and started getting back into exercising, which I had slowed down on while feeling awful during my 1st tri.

Though I have two uncomfortable and surprising pregnancy symptoms which I'm trying to live with. 1. I've been having heart palpitations daily 2. I've been severely itchy over my entire body, enough to case me to make myself bruise and bleed from scratching. I got an ekg and echo from a cardiologist and everything came back normal, so they said it's not a big deal and just something to get used to.

For the itching my OBGYN tested me for signs of cholestasis. My liver panal came back normal and I"m still waiting for my bile salt test to come back. If that's normal (which I hope it is) I'll be making an appointment with a dermatologist. It's all very weird since I had neither of these symptoms when pregnant with my DD. Oh well, I'm just so happy to be pregnant!

QOTW: If I could pick anything (money aside) it would be to have some remodeling work done to my house.

  • Hello,

I am in my 22nd week.  I have a few appointments coming up in early January.  I feel consistent movement but I have no idea which twin it is.  DH and I are working on cleaning out the third bedroom which will be the girl's room.  It is REALLy small so we are going to have to be creative when it comes to furniture and two babies in it!

QOTW:  In a perfect world I would love a new home.  We have a 3 bedroom townhome with no basement/garage.  I would love more room now that we will be a family of 5.   Or I would like DH to find a full time teaching position instead of a teacher's assistant.  More money from his end would give us more options.  Neither of these things will happen, so I am settling for monthly massages!

  • hi ladies!  I'm ready to join!!  I'm 14wk5d today with twins, due June 25th.  I go in Jan. 10th for my 1st cervix measurement and protein testing, and our anatomy scan is scheduled for Jan. 24th.  I've been to the Dr's several times in the past few weeks for spotting/bleeding - the first time it was just an irritated cervix, but last week it was heavier bleeding, and turns out I have a mild placenta previa (Baby A is attached really low in my uterus, and right now his/her placenta is partially covering my cervix).  The OB is hopeful that it will resolve on its own over the next few months as my uterus gets bigger and things shift around a bit.  I am really hoping he's right, because everything I read about placenta previa is scary!!

    TTC since July 2011
