Alex is still drinking whole milk and we will not be switching. DH and I also drink whole milk and there is no reason to switch for any of us. Alex only weighs 24 lbs though. If he were overweight, I would possibly consider switching.

We usually have 2% for us, so we switched DS to 2% too now. He's at the 50% for weight & he REALLY loves his milk, so I was ok with the fat reduction since he downs so much of it these days! Only having to buy the one kind is a side bonus :)

We are keeping him on whole milk. We drink skim, so I would still need to buy two different kinds and when DS2 is 9 months we will intro whole milk so I don't want to switch C to something else then back to whole when we are buying it for DS2 anyway. And I prefer cooking and making lattes with whole milk, so it's nice to have around for that too.

This. I don't want to buy 3 kinds of milk. When we go out to eat she drinks whatever they have 1%, 2% etc.

We just switched to 2% based on pedi recommendation. DH and I drink skim so we had to buy another kind anyway.

Not sure what we'll do nor when...  DS is low on Vitamin D (deficient is 30, he was at 33, even though milk is pretty much what he only drinks!) so the thought of changing one of his major sources kind of scares me...  We've also got to change Pedi's so that makes things a challenge too!

We have kept DS on whole milk, as he is a picky eater and only in the 25% for weight, I see no plans for changing any time soon, if we run out he has some of our 2% no big deal. @MesmrEwe - As for vit. D, I use the D drops on top of whatever is in the milk anyway, for DS1 he used to get drops added on top of his cereal, but now he and Daddy both lick it off their fingers at dinner, he thinks it's great fun, and DS2 gets a drop on his pacifier once a day.

I said I was not going to switch but the pedi wants us to switch even though DD is on the smaller side. DH agreed to drink 2% instead of skim so I don't have to buy 3 different kinds of milk.
I am worried about brain development but Horizon makes a 2% with plant based DHA so I will probably buy that kind.

I took DS to his 2 year appt and asked the Dr. He said we can switch him to skim milk.  Whaaaaaat? DS is 60 percentile for both height and weight. I think skim milk is a bit ridiculous.  I'll probably switch to 2% though.
