Devastated Again

This time is worse. After having the baby with us at the hotel for 34 hours and bonding. BM had police show up and take the baby from us this evening. Words cannot express the pain. I think we might be done trying to start a family.

So sorry! I totally get your feeling of "I'm done with adoption!" Im not sure what happened the first time for you but we had our daughter after 2 fell through. I know of another couple who had two fall through as well, one on the way to the hospital and one after they brought the baby home and then had to take her back.  My heart goes out to you!  You are not alone.

I haven't been on the adoption boards much lately but came over and was so sad to see this. I don't know how anyone can handle what you've been through.  You are so strong and I pray that you get your family some how some day.  I am so sorry..

Wow I am so sorry, I can't even imagine.

If you ever feel ready again, you might want to look into adopting from Florida. Lots of people come here because our laws are very much in favor of the adoptive parent. Our birth mother couldn't sign TPR until 48 hours after birth, or until she checked out of the hospital whichever came first. Once TPR was signed the only way it could be nullified is if she could prove she was still medicated from birth, or she had been co-erced. Our agency said the only way we won't finalize is if we are found to be abbusive, negligent, or an act of God. I know you are probably not ready to think of this, but just planting the seeds. If the desire is in your heart, I doubt it will go away for good until you have one at home.
