i know there have been plent of discussions regarding weight gain but im just to lazy to go looking.. i feel like a fat ass! im 22 weeks and ive gained almost 18 pounds.. its only in my ass,stomach and boobs lol.. what about you ladies.. how much have you gained so far???

If you feel fat, tell your doctor. Then he/she can tell you you're pregnant and you're suppose to gain weight, better validation than strangers telling you

I think my favorite part about the OP was how it almost sounds braggy, cause her fatty fat fat is only in her "ass, stomach, and boobs" ...2 of the 3 being places some women wish they could carry some extra weight on a regular day.

Hugs. You seriously had no idea. I'm a ftm too and always on here on my phone so I feel the pain of not being able to find stuff.

Basically there had been a lot of posts about weight gain and then a week or so back there was a post about how we should stop posting about weight bc each person gains different but as long as we are healthy it's ok. And it will come off after baby.

I hope I summed that up well enough. If not, blame it on pregnancy brain haha.

No need for anyone to get catty about it. You were honestly curious and unaware of the other posts.

newsflash honey, you PREGNANT! You are GOING to gain weight, you ARE going to get bigger. If your dr isn't concerned about your weight gain, then you shouldn't be either! If they are concerned, make a plan with them!

I'm sorry that you're not feeling good about yourself right now. I'm a FTM as well and I have gotten down on myself about my weight over the past couple of months as well. Weight is just a very hot topic and many of the posts dedicated to weight have honestly made me feel worse about myself, not better. I would highly encourage you to look at @KendraColeslaw's post from the other day about this topic (which I think @jellysparkles was kind enough to post a link to). It explains in a much more articulate way than I've been able to why this is such a hot button issue.

I've lost 35lbs since BFP and I'm STILL fat! Like, literally documented fatness on my chart. I just can't win.

You gonna GBCB now too? I bump on mobile all the time, and even I can see that we've had a kajillion weight posts in the past 5+ months...without having to search for them.

ETA: Not to mention several ladies on this board have been pretty damn vocal about their feelings on weight posts/weight questions/weight inquiries in other posts...you'd have to be blind to not have seen any of this.

I weigh over 250lbs before pregnancy. You still feel fat now with your piddly 18 (out of 25-35) lb weight gain giving you nothing more than an ass and something to fill your bra?? Thought not.

I wish I could have gained twenty-thirty pounds by now. I can't keep anything down and I barely have an appetite. Your problems seem so silly to me, when a healthy baby should be your main concern. Some of us are actually struggling to maintain certain weight gain standards.

This is exactly why I never ask questions. You never know what nerve you might hit. I personally only use my phone to sometimes look on here.. So I've never seen any weight posts either. Sucks people feel the need to be snarky with eachother.. Especially when your just looking for some reassurance. That's what we're all here for right? To support one another?

I wasn't even going to comment but this is ridiculous. She should have expected to "hit a nerve" because she specifically stated that she knows there's been multiple posts on the subject. If she knows there's been posts then I'm sure she's read some of them and surely she's seen people's responses before. And I'm so sick of the "we're all here for support" sob stories. It's been said before, but if you don't want snark then move on out of here.

On both of your posts you got very sweet, supportive remarks from these women.  I am confused.  Ultimately the bottom line is all of these ladies are telling OP she doesn't need to worry about gaining weight, that she looks great, and is doing it for her baby.
