UTI - HALP!!

I have one and need something to take OTC now since the dr isn't opened on the weekend. Any suggestions?

I usually take AZO and drink tons of cranberry juice.

motrin for pain, and most important drink a lot of water- nothing with sugar or caffeine,   There are varying thoughts about the efficacy of cranberry, but if you want to try it then take cranberry pills, don't drink the juice because the juice has lots of sugar in it.  also you can try eating yogurt.

Azo and the cranberry pill supplements (way more concentrated than juice). I usually take a shitload of them at once and chase with shit tons of water.

Or better yet, find a walk-in or urgent care clinic.

GL mama..UTIs suck balls. I used to get them ALL.THE.TIME. Yuck!

Does your doctor have an after hours line? I've called and gotten a prescription called in before.

This should never, ever, ever be an option. Antibiotics are already too over-prescribed for them to be handed out without confirming it's actually a UTI. 

sorry. I did this after taking the over the counter uti test once and called after it was positive. I agree with you though. Shouldn't have suggested it.

I'd call the after-hours line regardless. Most practices have someone on call or an answering service. If they don't, their voicemail will tell you what to do for an after-hours emergency. And a UTI should be treated as an emergency because that sucker can progress fast.

I've had UTI's before and was actually thinking of doing this as the symptoms are the same.
