B flipping around = trip to L & D

I will be 31 weeks on Tuesday and I can distinguish between where A and B are usually.  My boys are mono-di so I get u/s every 2 weeks.  Last week baby A was head down on the left and baby B was transverse breech.  I do kick counts several times per day, and today hadn't felt Baby B since this morning.  I called the dr. on call at 6 pm and she told me to head to Labor and Delivery to get monitored.  Turns out both babies are good, and Baby B flipped again so his feet are right next to baby A's, which is why I didn't think I was feeling him.  I hesitated to call but am glad I did, the dr. made me feel at ease!!!!  So glad they are both doing well and feel relieved.

  • That is good - glad you called too. Better to call than to ignore something that could be a sign of concern!!

  • Good news. I hate to be "that person" but I thought they didn't do kick counts for multiples? And what's transverse breech??

A is head down on my left, with feet straight above him.  B originally had his head above A's feet with his body going across my belly and legs going down my right side.  all stretched out.  i questioned when they said that too :)  apparently they said because he is sideways and his head is up away from cervix that how they call it.

my dr. said to do kick counts since 28 weeks so i've done them since then... although if i couldn't tell where they were it would freak me out (like it is today!!!) so i don't know.
