Today at the tree farm

This happened:

"Is it, Mama, is it?"
"That's the baby Jesus"
"HIT a baby Jesus"
"No, no. We are gentle to baby J - WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"
"Throw a pine cone at baby Jesus"
"No, A, they threw stones" (from my husband, who was coming back from paying for the tree)
"Now what are you doing?"
"Look for stone to throw at baby Jesus"

We had to just leave since we were receiving horrified looks from all the nice families admiring the nativity.

    Well, I found it amusing, but we aren't religious. I can't imagine what people were thinking about us when my 2 year old was targeting the baby Jesus. And it was inflatable, luckily. :-)

    My DD probably would have tried to swaddlr and feed the baby and then wrap a blanket around it, potentially "smothering" the baby.
