Concerned

Type 1 diabetes and having lots of lows all along and now at 16 weeks still having lows. Endocrinologist figured I should be more insulin resistant now. So she ordered a hcg level and it has plummeted from my one in September. 4600 from 45000! I've heard hcg levels decline at around 17 weeks but I'm nervous that this drop with my low blood sugars means my worst nightmare. Anyone have any reassurance to offer???

Can you get an u/s? I have no idea about diabetes, but I would expect that would mean extra monitoring. Betas can't tell you much past about 6 weeks. ETA: how far along are you? Never mind, I'm dumb. Sine you are 16 weeks, I imagine your a/s isn't too soon, so I would push for an u/s to ease your anxiety. I hope you get the blood sugar issues regulated soon.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this and have no advice about diabetes but this is the reference chart from my lab. Seems like your results are still within normal values but I don't know a lot about what they are supposed to look like later in pregnancy.
