As with everyone else who has written a post like this in the past, I am in utter shock and disbelief. This is coming from the girl who has been spotting for 5 days and really though she was out for the month. We have been trying on and off since last November. In total - we have actively tried for 6 cycles.
What we did: This cycle was a little different than others. This is the first cycle we actually temped and did OPK's. Previously we either just temped or just used OPK's. I drank green-tea (about 3 cups) everyday prior to O. I also ate pineapple core (for the first time) from O-1 to O+3... yep.... crazy I know, but I feel a lot less crazy now with a BFP after eating it! I purchased preseed on O day and used it for the first time that evening. We hit O-3, O-1 and O. And to be honest - the sex we had this month was gourmet. Maybe that helped? Oh, and I was taking a B100 complex this month in addition to my PNV because I've had low B vitamin count in the past, and was alerted with a 11 day LP last month. I figured it wouldn't hurt to start taking them again.
Symptoms: I had a plethora of crazy shit go on this month. On 2DPO I passed a red blood clot, this was the first time I ever had midcycle spotting. I continuously spotted after that. On 6DPO I went to the emerg because my arm and hand turned blue. The doctor had no clue what was going on, and sent me home after everything turned out ok. From that day on I've been weak and tired. At 8DPO I had red spotting and proceeded to order some wondofo's online. On CD10 I was convinced AF was here and wore my divacup only to find a scant amount of blood. Earlier that morning I marked my FF as CD1 but changed it back that evening to spotting. I've been spotting since (red and brown) but its now starting to lay off. All my spotting this cycle has never required more than a panty liner, but its clearly been there. I've had my typical sore boobs and cramps after O, so that hasn't been any different. 2 days this week I have had decreased appetite, which is out of the norm for me.
How I told DH: Last night I got a squinter that you all confirmed for me in the 2WW. I knew he wouldn't believe it, so I waited till this morning to break out the big guns (digi and FRER). I know some people say you just have a feeling about pregnancy, well, on Monday I went to the store and bought a card and some wrapping paper for use when announcing to him. I really thought I jinxed myself for buying this stuff (while spotting), but figured it would be good to have on hand. I barely slept last night as I was so excited to test. When the digi came back pregnant I rushed downstairs (this was at 5:30 am) broke out the card, wrapped a "What to Expect when you are expecting" book and put the peesticks in the card. I told him to wake up since I was going to make him breakfast, he saw the gift on the kitchen table and was confused. I told him I got him something special since he was working all this overtime lately and has had a rough go at work. I broke out my phone and recorded his reaction. The Mush: Without you ladies I would not have known how my body worked. To be honest, I didn't even know what ovulation was. I thought we'd have sex and BOOM pregnant. Looking at my first FF friend chart, I can tell how much I didn't know. I took HPT's in cycle 1 from CD16-19. I was clueless (to say the least). Thank you for the support and guidance, you don't know how much it means to me.
