Mother of the year award!

I feel terrible! DS told me Sunday night that his ear hurt, but he's never had an ear infection before so I thought maybe he had hit it or something. That night he had a low fever [101...that's low for him]. I thought maybe his molars were coming in and maybe that's why he said his ears since they are far back in his mouth. He woke up crying once on Sunday night and told me again Monday morning that his ear hurt. [again small fever 100.] so I sent him to daycare thinking for sure molars told his teacher that he complained about his ear and to let me know if he said anything but not to ask him. Of course around 3:00 they call to tell me he has a fever and he told her by himself that his ear hurt. So I took him to urgent care right away. Double ear infection. I feel SO bad! He was probably miserable at daycare. But we got him his meds and he gets to stay home with daddy today. Just thought I'd share my wonderful motherly skills lol.

Isn't that the worst feeling! I've had plenty of mother of the year moments. You are not alone! Hope he feels better soon!

I would have done exactly the same thing you did. Don't beat yourself up. Hope he is better soon!

Same here too!  It sucks...  On the flip side, what's worse is when you take your kid in, not once, but twice thinking "It's GOT to be an ear infection" and nope - perfectly happy pink little ears and happy baby, but the second you get home SCREAMING FUSSING UNHAPPY AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS AGAIN! ..  uffda!  And then, you get the bill for both of those false alarm visits!!
