I hope your doctor appt last week went well!!! Did you get to ask your doctor about the pre-e test? I just thought of it and wanted to check in!!!

It went really well. Lo is looking great, and I'm feeling way better than I did wih DD. He said as far as he can find the test is only in the uk, and its definitely not available anywhere in my area. He was apparently already looking into it before my appointment. He said from what he had read on it, it isn't to a stage to be helpful to me right now since its only detecting a couple weeks out and hasn't uncovered anything that can be preventative yet. Told him it was mainly a peace of mind or be prepared ahead of time deal for me. He also said my gallbladder looks good enough he felt comfortable starting me on the baby aspirin, and with that he is hoping I make it to term. Was a good new, bad news visit since he said there isn't anything else prevention wise with enough evidence that it works so I should prepare myself for another preemie, BUT as of right now everything is looking very good and he isn't counting out making it to term. We start biweekly visits at 20 Wks, weekly visits at 28wks and will be twice weekly once I hit 32 since thats when everything went south with DD. A little frustrating since it seems like it really just comes down to luck, but so far everything has been different this time around and he seems to feel like that is a good sign as much as I do.

That is great news that everything looks good!!!! I hope that all the extra monitoring will help and maybe the asprin will work?? My fingers are virtually crossed for you.  are they having you take your blood pressure at home? I always wonder if that would make me stress more.

He isnt having me take it and track it as of right now, he said if I wanted to for my own peace of mind I can, but he has been conferring with the high risk ob he sent me to for delivery with my daughter and both of them think its ok for me not to monitor bp at home right now. Of course, he said he will have me start tracking my bp if it shows up slightly elevated at my regular visit, but because I didn't have high bp until 48hrs before I was induced, he's more concerned with my urine and blood work for now.
