Creepy or Not??

Ok say your FIL and MIL bought a you a baby monitor. It's one of the camera ones so you can see and hear LO while in the crib. The monitor they bought is one of the ones where the IL's would be able to also see using Skype or MSN. creepy or not?? Just want opinions to see if I'm looking too far into something.......

Um neat idea if I am able to have sole control over when they have access to see or hear anything! And if they lived far away. But I am a private type person and my home is my sanctuary. Maybe others would have diff opinion. ..

I would be concerned that strangers could hack into it if it was connected to the internet.

Yeah I'd find it a bit creepy. I just find it creepy that they want to stare at their grandchild for a few random hours in general. It's not like its a video made for them, they're just randomly signing in to watch you go about your day...?

Its way creepy! With ours you can move the camera around the room. If it was stationary on the crib only that would be better but if they could move it I dunno if I could deal. What if you are feeding... Or walk in without a short or pants to go get something.... No! I would be totally creeped out!

We have that and have to give access to whomever we want to see or be able to check in. Though our camera has an on/off button so we can make it not accessible by outsiders just us as well. I don't mind except late nights, nothing to hide but feedings in robe or tired. Also freaks me out cause you read about these things being hacked by random weirdos.

I have one and still vote creepy.

If it's the Motorola, you can put a password on the connection so only you and your husband can see. 

Edit: You probably can with other ones too, but I only know about that one.

I wouldn't mind it if it were my grandparents or other family members, even if they could control it. I second the PP about possible hacking though. That would be far more of a concern than family members wanting to watch my kid sleep/play.
