Auntie? — The Bump
Special Needs

So they are going to do an autism evaluation in March. He will be 25 months then. He is not talking, saying Any meaningful sounds or communicating in anyway. He is not moving much either. He will lean and reach when sitting on the couch but he isn't rolling or crawling. He can't even get into sitting by himself. He isn't holding things in his hands or using pincher grasp. I feel like it is too early for this type of evaluation. What do you think they will do? What conclusions or information can they get? I was going to go ahead with it because insurance covers it and it won't be harmful. I just don't know what to expect.
