Pregnant after 35

Hands Falling Asleep?

A few times this last week I have woken up in the middle of the night with one or both hands asleep. Only happens during the night and never happened to me pre-pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced this?

  • I can't believe I was able to find this thread! I hope this helps:

I haven't gotten this symptom while pregnant, but I used to sometimes have fingers fall asleep on me over night and my doctor assured me it was nothing to worry about. Can't remember what cause he cited; it's been years since it happened, so it's a bit of a blur.

  • Ha! OMG I even commented in that thread but that was before this symptom started and I was complaining about my knees! Luckily it does not seem as bad for me as that poster (I would not say I am "in pain") but it is just strange that I have tingly, numb hands out of nowhere. But my knees are fine now! Wonder what is next? :)

LOL! I didn't even notice! I was just happy I remembered it had been discussed, but I didn't read through the replies. (Waking up with hands asleep is disconcerting, isn't it?)  Glad your knees are good, though!
