Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Rolling in crib

Hi mammas! Just looking for some advice. My LO started rolling from back to tummy in his crib before bedtime most commonly. He plays on his tummy all the time during the day, isn't crawling just yet. He cries on his tummy at night and will just keep his head up and look around. He finds his bink and is pretty content but just will not go to sleep. I have just been going back in and helping him roll back to his back so he will sleep but know there must be other solutions. If I just leave him he cries and cries and doesn't seem to roll back over himself. Anybody with similar experience and advice?!

Thanks!

Re: Rolling in crib

  • DS does this too. I wish he'd learn that tummy sleep feels SO GOOD!! Haha he'll grow out of it and find his comfort zone one day until then just hang in there

  • Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. I remember when he was so little and would only sleep on his tummy on me. I just remember thinking I can't wait until he can just sleep on his tummy!

  • DS just started doing this, complete with screaming like 3x a night. It's so tiring. He's been rolling for like 5 months so I don't know why he is just now doing this. He can get back, so I wish he would just do it! Sigh.

In conclusion, I have no ideas. lol.
  • And of course after I post this he does it and then sleeps all night on his tummy. *sigh* always keeps me guessing!!

  • Yeah, DS is doing the same thing so we are having him sleep in the RnP for now.  I'm hoping that he'll get the hang of rolling belly to back so I can get him back in his crib.
