Basically it just gives my husband a good reason to do what he does every winter, be lazy and not shave. The guys at work once told him he looked like one of the disciples. Lol
@foxiloxi, I think maybe it is more popular in Canada, this is from Wikipedia:Movember (a portmanteau word from moustache and "November") is an annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancers and associated charities. The Movember Foundation runs the Movember charity event, housed at Movember.com.[1] The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health."[2]
My husband is participating and his work is doing a carnival of sorts to raise funds for cancer. Not looking forward to the no shave! His mustache starts to grow over his lip and he doesn't trim it and gaggggggg.
Last year he started in October for Movember and said he wasn't shaving until the baby came. Well, he stuck to his word! I have never been so happy to see that sweet face behind all that hair. He shaved 3 days before LO came .
DH is getting NONE if he grows any facial hair. It grows in weird places, and is hideous.
DH is about the same, but he persists in trying to grow it out just to see if it does any better this year. Oi. Am definitely hoping that he gives in and shaves soon as it just looks a mess!
