Re: anyone have successful pregnancy after miscarriage?

  • I had a very early miscarriage 2 months before this baby (our third) was conceived.

  • My first pregnancy resulted in a happy, healthy, baby boy. My second was a chemical pregnancy. It ended very early so we didn't wait to try again and got pregnant that same month (4 weeks later). I'll be 15 weeks tomorrow!

  • My first pregnancy unfortunately ended in a miscarriage in August, then I found out the beginning of January that I was pregnant again. My husband and I never "tried" but we didn't do anything to prevent from getting pregnant. I now have a 3 year old little boy and I'm on pregnancy #3 and due in February. It is definitely possible! Stay positive!
  • Visiting from M14 and just wanted to say that it is not only possible, but likely you will get pregnant again and carry a healthy baby to full term. The odds are in your favor. I think everybody else's experiences have already illustrated this very well. Mine is I had an early loss in April, pregnant again in August, & now happily chugging along.

  • I had a very good experience with the TTCAL and PGAL boards, for sure.

I had two back to back losses last year (in July and November, the first natural the second with a D&C). I got pregnant after one cycle after my first loss... My second loss was due to triploidy.

I'm currently breast feeding (while mobile bumping) the result of my third pregnancy, an awesome little girl who was born in September.

I know it seems hopeless when you're in the middle of it, but I wish you well.

  • I had a chemical pregnancy my first time then early miscarriage. The very next month I got pregnant and I'm now just into. 2nd tri. I took it kind of hard the 2nd time of mc but realized that I'll never have an answer as to why & will trust that the Lord has a healthy baby in our future. We just got to hear the heartbeat.

I had a miscarriage in Jan 2012 and had a d&c in 2009 from a molar pregnancy. It has taken me a year and a half to finally have a good pregnancy.  It honestly just takes time and when your body wants it to happen it will happen.  I feared that from my failed pregnancies that I would never be able to have a full term one.  Just have faith that it will happen when its supposed to.

  • I've had two miscarriages - one several years ago, and one in April 2012 - and I am now 19w pregnant with twins!  It's exciting, but we've had some complications with this pregnancy.  Oddly enough, my multiple miscarriage history is one of the reasons we've been watched so well and have received such great care.  We've worked more with a high risk OB, received an early ultrasound (which is how we found twins), and have really been treated with such compassion.
  • Plenty of women have healthy pregnancies after miscarriage. I had a m/c in May of 2011 and we did an ivf on August resulting in our twins. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant with #4.

  • I'm very sorry for your loss. I have no miscarriage experience myself, but I do know family members who have gone through it. There is a board on the bump that is called Pregnant after a loss that might be able to better answer your questions regarding successful pregnancies after loss. I know several ladies on my BMB have had losses and we are all nearing our due dates here next month! I promise you success is possible! Good luck to you!

  • The sarcastic hormonal b---- in me wants to reply with: Nope! No one who's ever miscarried has ever gone on to carry to term. You're doomed. Luckily I can shove her in a box and feed her chocolate so you can get the real reply. :) Of course you can go on to have a successful pregnancy! My MIL had seven miscarriages while trying to conceive my husband and SIL. I cant even imagine keeping on through seven, but hope doesn't really take no for an answer. I've had one c/p, one miscarriage at 6w and one second trimester loss... And I'm back again hoping the fourth time is the charm. If I didn't truly believe that it was possible- I would have saved myself the money of doing another IVF and just given up. In my signature there's a Latin phrase- Dum spiro, spero. I had it engraved on a silver bracelet I never take off while I'm pregnant. It means: So long as I breathe, I hope. It's a constant reminder of why I'm putting myself through daily lovenox shots, and the anxiety and risk of another pregnancy. I just can't seem to stop hoping that this pregnancy will result in my take home baby.
