anyone have successful pregnancy after miscarriage?

I currently have a two year old daughter but recently had a miscarriage and a d&c. the women on the loss boards have been so unbelievable. so I wasnt sure where to post this because I dont want to offend anyone. so I thought this might be a good place? Im wondering if any of you have unfortunately experienced a miscarriage and then went on to get pregnant? how long until you tried again?

I did not but my sister in law and my good friend did. Good friend had a successful pregnancy 3 months later and sister in law 8 months but they waited a bit but got pregnant first month trying.

I had a mmc and a cornual ectopic prior to my son. I am now pregnant with #2. 14 weeks. There's hope after heartbreak!

I had a miscarriage in May and then found out we were pregnant again in August. As long as you are given the all clear from your doctor to try again. My advice would be to not stress and try to get pregnant right away. I found that June was the most stressful month for us. I was temping and checking my CM every few hours, but in July we got pregnant with no monitoring at all. Good luck to you!

I have had two very early ones. Thankfully, I am now 14 weeks pregnant and everything looks great!

I had a miscarriage August 3rd and found out on September 15th that I was pregnant! I am now 14 weeks There is definitely hope!

I had a missed miscarriage in April. Baby stopped growing at 7w3d. At 11w, I had some spotting and found out we lost the baby, and a week later (may 2nd) had an emergency d&c. My doctor told me to wait till after my first period to ttc. My first period came May 30th, but I wasn't ready to try. I got my next period on June 25th, and I conceived our first month trying. I'm 19 weeks pregnant now. Many women have a miscarriage and go on to have healthy pregnancies. I hope this helped, and I wish you luck!

I had a natural miscarriage a couple years ago, then a missed miscarriage with a d&c in December. We found out I was pregnant again in May, and are now almost ready to meet our LO! There is definitely hope, good luck!

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm 14 weeks after having a miscarriage at 7w5d in January. I'm not there yet but feel more confident all the time. I'd recommend the TTCAL board and the PGAL board (for questions of pregnant women) when you're ready to start trying again.

I had 3 natural miscarriages back to back earlier this year (January, February, and March). I took about 3 months off of TTC to give my body a break after such a tough streak of miscarriages and to get accommodated to the regiment of pregnancy support I was undergoing (weekly acupuncture, tons of vitamins, etc). I became pregnant in July and am now 20 weeks tomorrow. I had my anomaly scan today and am happy to report our first little one will be a very healthy baby boy.

We got pregnant, lost the baby at 7 wks, had a period, then got pregnant the next month. Because I didn't have a d&c, my OB told use we only had to wait one month before trying again. But I think I'm pretty fertile because I got pregnant on the first try the last 3 pregnancies...

Our son was about 2.5 when I had a miscarriage and D&C (January 2013).  We took a couple months off - and I actually ran 2 ultramarathons during that time - and then got pregnant again.  Baby is due February 2014  It's amazing what is possible!

Yup. Took us 13 months to get our first bfp, miscarried at 9 weeks (blighted ovum). Went on to KU after 2 cycles with this pregnancy...am now 22 weeks along.

What do you mean, "unbelievable" ? Just a word of warning, trashing another board to any other board is considered very rude. Especially a loss board. What did you post over there? Can someone link it or quote it?

That being said, I had two miscarriages before two healthy pregnancies. It's very possible the same could prove true for you. I hope that is in your future & I wish you the best.

Yes. I've had 5 losses throughout the course of building our family. I have two healthy children and I'm 30w along with our third and last child.

I lost my first pregnancy, then conceived my oldest son. I lost 3 more pregnancies then conceived my second son and then lost another pregnancy before conceiving our third and last child.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Its incredibly hard, but don't give up hope.

Maybe I read it wrong but I thought she meant unbelievable like in an awesome supportive good way. And she didn't want to be insensitive and say sorry for your loss but I'm gonna get pregnant. I thought she was trying to not be rude to them.

We lost baby at 10 weeks then went on to get pregnant as soon as we got ok from doc. Delivered healthy baby boy & a year after that got pregnant again and now 25 weeks along...

We had a loss at 10.5 weeks last december, and I'm now 20 weeks into my second pregnancy.

@PrimRoseMama, I was wondering the same thing.  There's nothing in her post history to suggest anything other than a sweet and caring loss mama who has been really supportive of others on the MCPL board.   I'm pretty sure she meant "unbelievable" in a good way :-)

I definitely meant unbelievable in a good way! they have been an amazing support which is why I didnt want to post this on the wrong board because I wanted to be sensitive to everyones feelings.

You are good. I misinterpreted your post. Fully accepting responsibility for that here. Sorry about that. We are on the same team. I just got my hackles up at even the possibility of someone trying to down loss ladies. My bad, but I am hoping you get your BFP soon.

I had an ectopic, resulting in emergency surgery to remove my right tube.  Three months later I got pregnant with DD (2.5 yrs).  I know lots of women who have had miscarriages and had children afterwards.

I had a mmc last November and had a D&C.  We started trying again in March and got pregnant three cycles later.

I have had 2 losses over the last 3 years and I am not currently 18 weeks pregnant with twins : )   Can't say that I feel like I am out of the woods because my pgal brain gets the best of me sometimes!  But like PP has said I know several women that have had miscarriages and have gone on to have healthy and beautiful babies!   Good Luck to you and so very sorry for your loss : (

I had a miscarriage and a D&C in February. Started ttc in April/May and got pregnant again in June. I am 24 weeks pregnant with a growing, kicking, healthy baby. Knock on wood--it has been a great pregnancy!

I had a miscarriage in 2003, then my DS in 2009.

I then had another miscarriage in 2012 and 2013 and am about 17 weeks pregnant now.  I think it definitely is possible.  Good luck to you!

I had a stillbirth, a healthy 2 year old a two years later and another on the way 2 years after that.

It took us a long time to get pregnant, but it definitely worked out for us!

I got pregnant in April of 2013 and lost the baby in May at 6 weeks.  

I got pregnant again two months later in July.  This baby is currently at 18w3d and so far perfectly healthy!  The miscarriage was devastating and painful but this baby is making it so much easier to deal with.

I have not been in this situation. But my own mom had 5 children. She had my first, then a miscarriage. Then two more kids, then another miscarriage and then 2 more

I had two losses both with D&C's.  6 months after my second loss I got pregnant with my 1st DS who just turned 3. 2nd DS, who is 16 months, and I am currently 15 week pregnant with my 3rd I got pregnant on the first cycle with my last two pregnancies. There is definitely hope after loss

I suppose my situation may be a little different but I'll share anyway.  I got PG in 7/2005 and the baby stopped growing around 7 weeks, I had a D&C.  I got PG again 7/2009 and the same thing, baby stopped growing around 10-11 weeks and another D&C.  I was going for infertility treatments during all of this as well.  After further testing they found I had a blood clotting disorder (a type of thrombophilia) When I finally got PG with DD (5/2011) I was put on Lovenox for the duration of my pregnancy and she is a happy & healthy 22 month old.

When I found out I was PG again this summer I immediately called my doc to put given Lovenox again and so far at 18w3d everything is looking great.

I had a mmc last July and it took us a year of trying to get pregnant again.  The one month we weren't actively trying just happened to be the month we conceived!  I'm 14 weeks and everything is going great  Wishing you the best of luck!

My baby stopped developing at 8 weeks and we had to induce miscarriage.  Then when they did the follow up ultrasound they saw that there was still placental tissue so we scheduled the d&c.  On the day of my pre-op appointment I got my period so the d&c got cancelled.  I got pregnant the next month and am now 6 months along and everything is going great.  A lot of times miscarriage just means that something wasn't right with the baby.  My doctor said if I would've had 3 miscarriages then he would've done further testing, but that basically one is nothing to worry about. Hope his helps and I'm sorry for your loss, I know how devastating it is.
