Walk/Ride Toy help

Ok ladies I need your help/suggestions. DS is in need of a walking style toy. I want to buy him the Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Stride-to-Ride Puppy but DH just does not like it and says it has too much going on and he wants to buy something more simple. I honestly can not find anything that has ratings as high as that one. So please either suggest what you have or if you have this one, do you like it or hate it? Thank you!! DD loves her puppy!! All baby toys have too much going on to be honest... But if we get sick of the songs the dog sings, we just turn it off! She still pushes it around. And she loves trying to get the shapes in the holes on his tummy.

OUr friends have the Puppy and it's kind of big, and I do find the songs annoying.

We have the Melissa and Doug Clack and Chomp alligator.  DS loves it. It's sturdy and doesn't tip over at all.
