So I owe $20 worth of freaking fines! I think it's from when I taught in public school in 2009 and I would check out Books to read to my first graders and I'd return them late and forget to renew. Oh well off to amazon. I'm gonna get a late start

Lol, $20 is nothing compared with a lot of the fines & replacement costs people rack up at the library I work in. Don't feel too badly about it.

Well, you sure made me feel a lot better about the $2.50 I had to pay for fines this morning! I almost always forget to renew my books on time and wind up having to pay fees. I figure it goes to a good cause, but I do need to be more responsible about it.

@Mandmeesh - Joy boy!!! lol!!!  And no, my library charges $.50 daily.

Yeah, mine was $19.something last I checked.  Our librarian usually waives them for me since I have a "teacher card".  Our library system gives educators a card just for school related check-outs and are usually really nice about overdue fines.

I owed $45.00 in library fines once, but that was because DD wrecked two reference books and they had to reorder them.
