Good morning everyone! I'm in the home stretch of my TWW, 9dpiui. My period is expected around Saturday and blood test is Monday, same as @ball.and.chain I believe. Hopefully it will be a BFP for us both.

I am remaining positive this cycle. Had some mild cramping Saturday and then a little more intense last night. Hoping it was implantation related. Also, our larger dog has been very attached to me since Friday. Of course I googled to see if dogs can sense very early pregnancy. Turns out that they can and that some become very attached and protective. She is typically more attached to C than me, so I'm hoping this is a positive sign. I'm also hoping that it isn't because of the Ovidrel. She didn't start being attached until Friday though, and I would think she would have been earlier if it was because of the Ovidrel.

QOTW: We live in a very rural area and don't really have kids who trick-or-treat, so no passing out candy for us. We don't dress up either. I'm going to carve a pumpkin at work tomorrow and then this past Thursday we went to the House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs. That is the extent of our Halloween celebrations.

Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12

We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm.  8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy.  We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET.  I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.

11/14/14 -  Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.

12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2

12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)

    1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2

     ****All Welcome!****

We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.

  • @Manada and I are waiting for her cycle to start. Then we will go in on day 2 so that she can start birth control pills and schedule her sono for between days 5 and 10.

I'm still on birth control pills. I will finish this week (which is week 3 on the pack) and then stop until I get a period and then re-start on day 2 of my period and then take them for 2 weeks and then I will stop again and go in on day 2 of my cycle to start our IVF protocol. Or at least I believe that's the plan. M has it written down and also we will be seeing the RE on M's day 2 and at her sono so I will double-check everything.

I recovered pretty easily from my hysteroscopy. Some bleeding, but that is normal. I was under the weather all week. I'm pretty sure I was sick (and it wasn't food poisoning that made me throw up the night before the sono) plus there was the whole body recovering from a procedure thing. I'm hoping to have more energy this week.

QOTW: We don't have any halloween plans. I don't think the kids in our building go door-to-door in the building, but we need to double check that so we can stock up on candy if they do. I may end up going out with our three year old friend, since I usually babysit him on Thursday evenings, but I think that his parents will end up taking him.

We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.

    Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.

    Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response

    IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.

  • I am on CD2, damn AF arrived late Saturday night :-(  We are going to talk to our RE about switching the fertility medications I am taking.  Any thoughts on switching from Clomid to Femera?

QOTD:  We went to a Halloween party Saturday night.  I am not sure if we are handing out candy, I need to double check to see when our trick or treat night is this year.  I didn't really dress up for the party on Saturday, but did wear a wig and lots of makeup, I was kind of an OSU Student, the alter ego of myself

  • Well, I'm PUPO, 3dp5dt, and itching to test. Beta isn't until Monday 11/4 but I won't last that long. I used to always use the trigger as a reason not to test early, but there's no trigger with a FET so it's hard to resist the urge.

QOTW: We're not huge Halloween people, though we live in a neighborhood with lots of kids so we do usually hand out candy. It always seems to fall on a night my wife works, so I end up doing it solo or inviting my sister over for dinner and to help (she lives in an apartment building). This year I have a PT appointment, so I don't even think I'll be handing out candy. No parties or costumes here.

  • @ball.and.chain, I'm thinking about you! I can understand that urge to test. I assume we will test early and often after our ET in December (if things go as planned/hoped).

When do you think you'll test? 5dp? 6dp? 7dp? 7dp5dt seems outright reserved to me. :)

  • Hello, friends.  I write to you from the comfort of my kitchen in toe socks and flannel jammies :) I went to jury duty today, which ended sooner than I expected.  Alas, I wasn't chosen to participate in the trial.  But on to more interesting things...

I got my blood drawn this morning, to check my progesterone levels.  I'm at 14.5.  My doctor wants to put me on suppositories for the remainder of my cycle, and continue if pregnant/stop if not pregnant.  Anyone have experience with this?

I've been testing out my trigger still.  It's positive again today - very faint but I still see it.  Wondering if it will be gone tomorrow finally.  It's been 9 days, so it really should be out of my system by tomorrow I imagine (if it really drops at 1000 iu per day).

Anyhoo, that's my update.  @ball.and.chain, good luck to you!!!  It's good to be PUPO :) and sorry to @trisholio for the BFN - those really suck.  @StacyLH24 - all the best, 2WW buddy!  Hope you're not stressing about phantom symptoms/testing the way I always seem to be lol
  • Hello! I am writing from Niagara Falls, where we will be getting legally married tomorrow. We have a follicle scan set for Friday and hope I have some tenacious huge follies ready to bust forth! If so, we will trigger and do IUI on Saturday. We are feeling happy about being back in the game after our much needed break. QOTD: Halloween is by far our favorite holiday. We plan on handing out candy in front of our tastefully Halloween decorated home. This past week I put on huge Halloween events for over 500 Girl Scouts and their parents and participated in a Halloween themed 5K! We just can't get enough!

  • Hi everyone!  I'm on my very FIRST round doing an IUI with my partner.  My RE was running a BOGO special for monitored cycle IUIs so we ended up choosing that.  I am on cd12 and will be triggering tomorrow night.  Thursday is the big IUI day if my progesterone looks alright.  I'm really excited but trying not get my hopes up too much since I know that the odds are slim we get it on the first shot.
  • @wishiwaspreggo - I'm not stressing at all this time. I'm getting into the IUI groove and know that we will just keep moving forward until we get out baby.

@doodah1013 - Have fun on Tuesday! We live about 2 hours south of Niagara Falls. I hope your day is beautiful! Also hoping you have some great follies!

@TwoMommies123 - Be as excited as you want to be! C and I were super excited when I went for my first IUI. It was excitement over the fact that we were finally actually trying to make a baby. You never know, it just might work the first time!

I have taken Crinone gel, Endometrin suppositories and progesterone shots.  Other than the shots sometimes being painful and the gel/suppositories having lots of gross leakage, they are NBD.  They do sometimes increase "pregnancy"/PMS symptoms.

  • @trisholio I'm so sorry about the bfn. That really sucks and I was really pulling for you. Sending hugs your way.

@ball.and.chain, can't wait to see a bfp for you

AFM, well, I can honestly say I have no idea where I am in this cycle. I am CD 32. My longest cycle to date has been 42 days. We did 4 at-home ICI's this cycle and the first 3 were in hopes that we hit my normal CD21 O, but then we saw a positive opk after that, so who knows.

Due to the stress of my Mom being in the ICU and our spending so much time there, we actually haven't temped since Thursday. Before that I had a pretty big drop in temp and then a rise back to just normal. My temps were steadily climbing, but we stopped temping so I honestly just don't know what is going on. I didn't see a big jump in temp at all, but was also sleeping in our room and then the living room while the floors were redone. It's been nuts.

I'm really wanting to be hopeful about this cycle, but well, it has just been a tough month. We'll find out one way or another...

I miss being on here all the time!

TTC our first. Married to, and madly in love with, my beautiful wife. Living with our fur baby and enjoying 19 nieces and nephews.

  • @trisholio - I'm sorry about the effing BFN :( No fair.

FX for all in the TWW and extra excited for ball.and.chain to POAS!

AFM, I posted a little on the GTKY on Friday - but to recap, we had our WTF appointment  which went really well. We did an in-office hysteroscopy and my innards looked perfect, which was a great bit of reassurance. We also talked a bit about potential next steps if this try doesn't work - but will cross that bridge if we come to it. It is nice to know we don't *have* to be done after this try if we don't want to be. Of course, I'm literally paying off our donor cycle from a year ago next month...and I was so excited to be out of debt 100% other than house and car. :( BUT, we have options and that helps not make the whole thing feel too final.

I have another week or so of BCPs and start Lupron shots on 11/4, with a suppression check on 11/13. A few blood tests, and a lining check 11/27 - then transfer on 12/5! I already took off that day (Thursday) plus the Friday and Monday after - it's a busy weekend so hopefully the 5-day POAS wait will go fast (I know, the TWW'ers are crying me a river...one benefit of IVF I guess).

@goalieswife123 - So sorry about all the stress with your mom and cycle craziness. Have you had your thyroid TSH checked yet? Still with 40 day+ cycles, I'd be suspicious of a sluggish thyroid. This is the book that had a section on "problematic charts" where I discovered my low temps/long cycles = likely thyroid issue. My TSH was 5.5 or so! My endocrinologist assured me pregnancy is 100% impossible with that level of TSH. For pregnancy, ideal is around .5-.9... hang in there.

@2mamazinseattle thank you for the advice! I have not had any blood work done yet. We were waiting out this cycle and if it does not work, we will be seeing an RE for all the blood work and things. I have had my thyroid tested in the past (like 6-7 years ago) and it was normal, but I know that things change. My longest cycle to date has been 42 days and usually they are around 30-33 days, which is why I never wondered about it. I appreciate your knowledge!!

FF gave me dotted crosshairs yesterday, despite not entering any temps. FF estimates my O at CD 23, which means all would not be lost. We would have hit o-5, o-3, o-1 and o+3. It is also putting me at 11dpo today, but I have avoided testing so far.

Thank you again for the tips. Your advice is never ignored!
