brushing teeth?

DS has 2 teeth coming up now. Once they come through, are we supposed to be brushing them? someone mentioned to me that I should use toothpaste as well.. but that doesn't seem right for how young he is... but I'm a FTM, so I don't know. what are you supposed to do?

Re: brushing teeth?

  • At his 6 month appt the nurse said we could wipe his teeth with the corner of a clean, wet washcloth. She said to do it after eating solids in the evening and not to use toothpaste.

  • I was told to just use a damp cloth and rub them once a day.
    No toothpaste.
This was by my pedi and dentist.

  • PLEASE WIPE THEM!
My DS (3 years) has no enamel and gets cavities super easy.  If we had wiped his gums and early teeth sooner he would be better trained for the brush!
