OD .WU Anxiety

Should I be this anxious? We fly out of state to our new RE tomorrow and I am SO sick to my stomach with anxiety. I am absolutely dreading the procedures on Tuesday. My husband said we can cancel everything and just forget it because he can't stand seeing how this is affecting me. Of course I said no, as I truly feel this is my last chance to get pregnant. So if I know that, WHY am I this sick?? (And I am REALLY sick, including not even being able to pull myself together to pack.) What is wrong with me?

I'm sorry lately nerves really get the best of me whenever I have to go to a dr appointment. I actually got prescribed Xanax recently after my etopic and only taken it once so far. Sorry this is hard but try and focus on the task at hand. Good luck in Colorado and have a safe flight!

Good luck. My ODWU is next Monday and I'm getting a little anxious too. I hope everything goes smoothly and CCRM comes up with a great plan for you. Question for you on your CD 3 blood. Are you taking it with you to the appointment? How do you plan on keeping it frozen?

Hey ChuckT, I always try to ask myself what it is, exactly, that I'm fearful of and try to talk/think my way through it. Are you worried about any test in particular? Are you worried about the big step of going oot for treatment? Are you worried they will find something your other REs didn't? For some reason for me, if I focus on one fear it makes it more manageable. For me, I'm now a little freaked out because if ccrm can't help me, I feel like I've exhausted all my options and I'll have to face the consequences. And I'm sick to my stomach about all the money we've spent and all the debt we will have again when we are done. Sound familiar;-). Good luck to you and DH. Safe travels. I agree with J& D--can you pinpoint what exactly you are afraid of?? After so much disappointment, I think it is normal to be worrisome and afraid of being told something we don't want to hear. All you can do is try. Wishing you well:-)

I also agree with J&D - she stated it perfectly. I admire you for moving forward and opening those doors that might have something scary behind them. But I think it's important and great that you are! Good luck to you.

Ditto to what everyone else said. Just wanted to send you lots of good luck for today! I know it's an overwhelming and exhausting day, so just try to take things one step at a time, and keep your eyes on the prize! Update us when you return home.

Just wanted to say I wish you so much luck. I admire your bravery & strength! IF has made me step outside my comfort zone a lot this past year, but I'm thankful I can look back and know I've given this process my all. Thinking of you!

My ODWU was the best thing that ever happened to me - I got some tough answers that brought us to where we are today...pregnant!  I felt nervous going into my ODWU, but thankful we were able to travel to a very well recognized clinic for our final attempt!  Hugs.

I agree with McIrish that feeling apprehensive after so much disappointment is natural.  Knowing that this is your last try is bound to bring so many more emotions to the surface than other cycles.  There is an unseen pressure we put on ourselves that sometimes we are not even conscious of.  Just remember that you are in good hands and you are giving yourself the best shot possible.  Sending you strength and hugs.

I feel for you! I'm waiting on a call from ccrm in 10 minutes for our phone consult and I'm a nervous freaking wreck.

I'm don't have any new advice that wasn't already given, but I hope that your odwu will give you answers that you've been looking for. Just know that you're in great hands and they can do miracles with those of us that have exhausted all of our other options!

I agree with pp, do you think you are nervous that these people know what they are doing and it might actually work this time?

I have found when I get anxious about this stuff if I talk it out with someone I figure out what it is that's bothering me. Gl

I am hoping you are doing better today. When I would get anxious and then sick - the only thing that would help would be a good cry. I don't know why but it always helped me. Here is to a better future with tears of joy!
