So today at lunch I got the shot of wheatgrass with my juice. A lady in my meeting began to lecture me in front of everyone around how I could drink that without looking up if it was safe that wheatgrass is not recommended when you're pregnant.. So naturally I started freaking out and turning to Dr. Google, there are mixed opinions as always.
Then about a half hour later she brings her phone over to me and says "see look it's not recommended, it's like feeding your baby mold"
and I just started crying I didn't know what else to do it was in front of everyone she's telling me that I basically poisoned my baby?!

So I'm far away from home and in a hotel and I can't shake this feeling of what I might have done wrong.

I think she's just a bitch and needs to leave you alone. Don't feel bad. I don't think wheat grass is the worst thing you can put in your body while you're pregnant so don't feel bad. Damn, I hate people.

I'm pretty sure a single shot of a juice won't have a lasting impact on your baby. It's the single shot of meth you need to keep an eye out for.

I don't know much about wheatgrass, but what she did was completely uncalled for.  if she was worried, she could have taken you aside and told you her concerns and let you make a decision.  I don't know if I might have tried to slug her for something like that.

and my philosophy is if you only do something once, chances are that it's not going to have a significant effect and the baby should be fine.  we all do less-than-brilliant things every once in a while and we're still ok.

Like honestly even if it was bad she is a total Bitch for presenting it like that and I have to see her again tomorrow have been going over in my head since it happened what I want to say to her.

And of course now I'm my own worst enemy I've read 37 articles about wheatgrass

Thanks everyone.. There is so many different opinions on this on the Internet that some of them are really starting to freak me out, and some were saying that they were drinking it by the gallon when they were pregnant.

As PP have mentioned, don't beat yourself up about the wheatgrass.  Leave dr. google alone and try to enjoy your night.

She's not a midwife or an OB - I wouldn't pay attention. There are also women that think ultrasounds are bad or you can't look at a cat while pregnant (okay maybe I'm exaggerating on that one). I was eating Cheez-Itz awhile ago (one of the few snacks I could stand during my m/s stage) at work and a girl was totally judging me and made a comment about how processed food can't be good for the baby. Eye roll. We aren't perfect. You didn't smoke crack, you drank some wheatgrass. Don't beat yourself up and just ask your doc for some reassurance.

To her it was like spoon feeding my fetus mold.. She was fuckin researching it for a half hour then brought her phone to me to prover her point. I was mortified and irate!

I would just egg her on tomorrow by showing up with a giant coffee (decaf or not, tell her it's regular), lunch meat, sushi, Diet Coke, alfalfa sprouts.... If she said anything I'd ask her where she went to med school.

She's being ridiculous. I felt bad for a minute after eating tabbouli because I heard too much parsley was bad for pregnancy (causes uterine contractions). PARSLEY. I can't even imagine the amount I'd have to eat in order for it to actually cause uterine contractions. And I was stressing over a small bowl of tabbouli. As long as you're not downing raw meat constantly, eat whatever you want in moderation. Just follow the basics outlined by your OB, and avoid Googling anything else. That's where I'm at right now.
