Time for me to say goodbye.

I always thought I would be leaving this board with a BFP, but sadly that is not the case.  My life, however, is about to get very very different.

Short version so this doesn't turn into a novel: my brother violated his probation and is headed to jail for the next three years.  He has full custody of my nieces and nephew as his ex-wife is in and out of the picture with drug and alcohol problems. He asked if MH and I would take the kids, and of course we said yes.  

So, in less than a half of a month, MH and I will be the legal guardians of my nephew (nine) and my two nieces (six and almost two), for at least the next three years (I feel like there is a real possibility that my brother will not want nor be able to take them back once he gets out, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it).  After a long discussion, MH and I decided that TTC will be put on hold while we have them, if not indefinitely.  We are both very at peace with decision and ready to give everything we have to making a comfortable and happy life for the kids.

My nephew, I just can't believe how big he is getting.  Football is starting in just a couple weeks, and he is super excited:

 

My sweetheart, who is the very definition of a girly-girl.  She starts first grade this fall and loves school and gymnastics:

And of course, the little monster, who has the energy of a thousand kids and totally going to drive me crazy:

For my own personal sanity, I have to say goodbye.  I feel like I haven't fit in here for awhile, and now that TTC is completely off the table, it is too painful to stick around.  I literally cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed being a part of this board and getting to know so many of you.   As someone who does not have a ton of close girlfriends IRL, your support and encouragement and sometimes just listening ear has been so wonderful and much appreciated.  

I am pulling for each and every one of you.  I might pop in on their age boards or something if I have questions (who am I kidding, I am probably going to have A LOT of questions), and who knows, maybe I'll be back here in a couple years to start trying again.  

I will miss you all so, so much!
