Re: Jersey Shore Princess

  • I mean-- it's OK.  Most -bella names are way to fussy for me personally.

I think it could have been much, much worse.

  • I hate it..    I dislike most -bella names  they are just way too princessy for my style but this one just screams "Jersey Shore" to me!

well, I live  close to the jersey shore and it doesn't scream jersey shore to me. it sounds like a made up name that it is.

FYI most people who live around the jersey shore area are of irish decent.

I have spent lots of time at the Jersey shore too didn't mean to offend   but, just like parts of LI, there seem to me to be lots more of these made-up princessy sounding names than in other areas I have lived.  Just my personal experience.   Similarly when I hear a name like "Shania" or "Wyatt" I would say it sounds very country.   Doesn't mean its a bad thing just what I associate it with.

Um...I think the mom needs to go back to high school French class. The -bella suffix alone is Italian. Amabel is a real name (the last time I visited the Nameberry boards they were alllllll over it) but like a pp said, 'loveable' in French is 'aimable'. Maybe she heard it wrong and sounded it out.

It's not the worst I've heard. But I don't think it's great either.

Please say Pauly D's baby's DNA test results were read on Maury?
