Present for first time Aunt

Hello!

My best friend, who is a 20 year old nanny, is going to be a first time aunt to a little girl in February. I and another good friend would like to put together a gift for her. I was thinking something along the lines of funny, gag gift as well as practical. Do you have any suggestions of what I could include in the present.

A "brag book" photo album or picture frame for her to fill with pictures of the niece.

Honestly? She's not going to be the aunt to your child, I'd let the cute "i love my aunt" stuff come from her sibling and stick to "Congrats! You are going to be the coolest aunt--that's one lucky baby!" etc.

A first time aunt doesn't need a gift. Stick to congrats--a gift is going overboard IMO.

I kind of agree with the previous posts.  I would let the mother to be handle the aunt gifts.  I also realize that you might be very excited for her, so perhaps a picture frame or something small would be a good idea.
