Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Baby sleep regression

My baby is 4 1/2 months. For about a week she has not been sleeping as good as she used to in her crib. She used to go to sleep at 7pm and sleep till sometimes 6am! Sometimes 3:30am and take a bottle and go back to sleep. It took a lot of time to get her there and all of a sudden she is really fussy when we put her to bed. She gets up at midnight and again at 3 and then 5....Is this temporary? Growth spurt? I haven't started cereal with her yet...maybe at 5 months. The Dr. said this is common and to just feed her at night when she cries. But I am so tired! I hope she goes back to her old sleep routine fast. I am a zombie! Will rice cereal help?

Re: Baby sleep regression

  • Yep, my DD is the same. She was a fantastic sleeper. Now it's torture. It's normal, don't feed her cereal, it won't help. It won't be like this for long.
