Well that sucked

DS2 started running a fever on Sunday so we took him to the dr. this morning. They said he didn't have strep but sent a throat culture off and said he had a virus. Cut to 5:30pm and the thermometer says 105.3. I freak the fuck out, call the dr who says to take the temp rectally and if over 104 go to the hospital. Rectal says 104.8 so we head to the hospital where they give him Tylenol, tests him for RSV and the flu, which both come back negative and send us home saying it's just a bad virus. My poor baby.

I'm sorry, that must have been so scary. I would have freaked out too.

I hope he's feeling better soon.

That does suck! Could he have roseola? My DD had a scary high fever with that one for DAYS.

I wondered about that also as DS1 had it his first year but they didn't mention it. Who knows.

I had to laugh at the "official diagnosis" which said FEVER. Um.....

I hate when all they tell you is it's a virus. I hope it's just a 24 hr thing and your poor sweet boy bounces back fast! In the mean time, give him lots n lots of cuddles.
