Suggest a book please!!

I tried to read the Mortal Instruments series and gave up 1/3 through City of Glass because the main character was SO annoying I couldn't stand it anymore. And the incest was totally off-putting.
I read the Hunger Games and really liked it. And Harry Potter of course.

I need something else to read. Anything.

What are you reading right now? What have you read that rocked your socks off?

  • I read divergent and insurgent. I am a big fan of both. Same with Enclave. Good stuff!

  • I read Wild by Cheryl Strayed a few months ago and it knocked my socks off!  It was an Oprah Book Club pick a few years ago, which probably would have scared me off had I known before I read it, but it was really awesome.

  • I always recommend the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It's mostly historical fiction with some time travel and good sex scenes thrown in :)

I'm currently reading Under The Dome by Stephen King and really like it so far.

  • An oldie but great book is doctors by Eric segal. Almost anything by him is good.
I also like Mary Higgins Clark and carol Higgins Clark, for mystery.

Men and Abel by Jeffrey archer.
  • Awesome!!! Okay, I'm gonna make a big book list now. Thanks ladies! This should keep me busy for a few months!

  • Don't know if it's your style but the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich is laugh out loud funny. Starts with One for the Money but you could really pick up any. I read 10 first then went and got the series.

Yes!  This series is amazing.  I also agree with Missmusic about the "City of Thieves" by David Benioff.
