Relocating to Sun Prairie - where to live?

My husband and I are relocating to Sun Prairie/Waterloo and I was wondering if anyone could talk to me about which areas would be best and which areas to stay out of. We're not at all familiar with any of the areas there, and I'm pretty anxious, as we have to get a place sight unseen, and our budget is a little tight. The only thing I've noticed is Hamilton Place is pretty much the ghetto. Is Sheehan Park area an area to stay out of? Which areas are better but moderately priced?
