Did you buy/rent a dopper or Fetal heart monitor?

I am just about 11 weeks and have one coming. Not sure how it is in comparison to the other ones but it says its a medical grade one  (its called the summit L250 with a 3 MHz probe). I rented one with DS also and was able to pick up the heartbeat at 10 weeks.

The website said the 3 MHz probe was better for earlier detection? I have no idea what the other one I had was, but am wondering if any of you rented a doppler and if you did, when were you able to pick up the heartbeat?

i bought an angel sounds doppler at 10 weeks and heard the HB very clear.

We never did and I'm glad. My bff and my ob both said that I would freak myself out if I couldn't find the heartbeat, and that's totally true.

This, except I didn't get mine until 12.5 weeks and it took me awhile to find. I think part of it was I just had no idea where to start!

I love mine. I didn't order it until after my doc found it in the office so I could see from her where to place it, etc.

I found it a little after 10 weeks.

I got a Sonotrax B from Amazon ($60-70) for Christmas and heard the heartbeat at 9 weeks 3 days, which is pretty early.  I absolutely love it and will certainly use it for my next pregnancy.

I bought the angelsounds one on amazon for $30.  It was the BEST $30 I have spent the entire pregnancy!  I had no problem finding the heartbeat at 12.5 weeks, just need to make sure to use some kind of lube.  I used it about 3 times a week up until I started to feel LO kick.  It was just so reassuring to have and DH got to hear the hb at home since his job keeps him from coming with me to most of the appointments.
