answering my own question through the ever scientific google search.  the short answer.  looks like it isn't a great idea.  of course no research has really been done but two major ingredients can soak in through skin and one has been shown in breastmilk.

oops.  I used it probably two ir three times a week the whole time.  My baby is perfect.

yah... i used it 3 times last week.  i'm sure it is fine but i figured i should check.
