Nausea and Vomiting 7-8dpo?

TTCbabyscottTTCbabyscott member
edited October 2013 in Trying to Get Pregnant
So I don't want to sound crazy but since 4-5dpo I have just been so crampy. I'm now 7-8dpo and yesterday I started feeling nauseous. Yesterday and today I've thrown up my dinner and just have not had an appetite. I don't want to sound like the crazy girls where everything is a symptom, but I truly never feel this way. Is it possible to have nausea this early or am I just getting a flu?

  • Take a test. A pregnancy test will give you a more accurate answer than the Internet.

It's too early to test. I wasn't asking if I was pregnant, I know the Internet can't tell me that. I was asking if it's possible to get symptoms this early or maybe some feedback from people who felt the same and ended up with a BFP.

Yes, you are. You're just beating around the bush asking for someone to say Yes, it happened to me so it has be true for you!
Every pregnancy is different and every woman's symptoms are different. What one woman has does not mean it will be the same for another woman and comparing yourself to someone else's uterus doesn't equal you getting a BFP. Unfortunately, you're going to have to do the only option I gave you earlier. Wait it out and take a test.

Thank you for telling me what I'm trying to say. Though I didn't really find you to be that helpful, I appreciate you taking the time to reply on my post. I will indeed test in a few days.

Not sure what else you expected.  Sue speaks the truth.

There's really nothing any of us can tell you besides, "Take a test".  Unfortunately it's all symptom spotting until you get a BFP.

  • Yes, 4-5 days is way too early to start feeling pregnancy symptoms. 7-8 days is too early too. Implantation doesn't usually happen until 7-10 days after ovulation and then the pregnancy hormone starts building up after that, which causes symptoms. Anything you're feeling now is most likely related to the increase in progesterone which can peak around this time.

Thank you! That's more the answer I was looking for. I kind of figured it would be too early. I appreciate your response :)

Yes, you were. That is exactly what you were asking and you wanted everyone to tell you that you are totes preggers.

These dumbasses will tell you that. We prefer reality to smoke up the ass. Your choice where you hang out.

    Why are you so rude?

    Is that better op?
Seriously, it's rude to come in here and not read the newbie blog. Which would have given you your answer.

No, that's not better. I was not asking to be told I was pregnant. I was asking if the certain things I am feeling could be correlated with pregnancy at my current dpo. Clearly it doesn't matter what I say, people will continue to make fun of me and insist that I was asking if I'm pregnant, which I was not.

  • We have 2WW threads for symptoms/questions/rants. Please read the newbie blog. It's posted at the top.

  • It's all in your head. I'm guilty of thinking pregnancy is the reason for every single bodily ailment during the TWW. LOL Try not to think about it too much! I know, easier said than done. :) if you're not charting yet, I would really suggest checking out Fertility Friend. A lot of ladies track their cycles using that system, and I will tell you that it gives me a sense of control over TTC ... Something I actually have very little control over. If you want to stick around, read the newbie blog and lurk a bit. The waiting to O and TTW threads are also great places to post your symptoms and feelings. Good luck!

  • If your 'symptoms' were truly pregnancy related, that would mean you also have enough hormones in your body to turn a test positive. Because, you know, the hormones responsible for symptoms are also the ones that those little sticks detect. Obviously you're asking if you're pregnant, you're asking if these symptoms you're having are related to pregnancy - one does = the other. If you had bothered to read the newbie blog as directed, or as you should have done before even first posting, you'd have seen that this kind of question is frowned upon unless posted in the 2WW thread. You were first told to take a test, go do it or not, it's your choice

  • no x 4!

It's not possible to have enough hormone in your body to be so sick that early on.
  • I vote you're sick.

If you had been lurking, you'd see that most women who have a true positive pregnancy test and post their story, list very few symptoms. I did not get nauseated until 5-6 weeks pregnant. I was sick my entire pregnancy. So the nausea cannot be pregnancy related.

Also, how do you know you are 7-8DPO?

  • I get nausea a lot around O and sometimes a week or so after. It is almost every month that I get nausea around O, but when I get it about a week later (7-10dpo) it is totally random and not very often. It usually only lasts a day or so.

Who the fuck pissed in your Cheerios?

And if talking with people online = having no friends IRL then welcome to the club baby!
  • OP:  With my son, I was *exhausted* and in a bad mood in the 2-3 days leading up to my BFP (which I got on 9 dpo).  I attribute this fatigue/foul mood to pregnancy symptoms, but I suppose it's possible that I was just tired and cranky!  In sum, in my experience, it's possible to have pregnancy symptoms at 7-8 dpo (if the embryo is an "early implanter"), but alas, it's impossible to know until a few more days pass and you see whether your period arrives/whether you turn a test.  Good luck to you!
  • People will say that if you are far enough along to have symptoms then you are far enough along to get a positive result on a pee stick. BUT... with DS2 I was nauseous starting 9dpo and began peeing on sticks that day but got a BFN. The tests I took at 10dpo and 11dpo were also negative. I finally got a positive at 12dpo. I took and read the tests as directed and used FMU so I'm pretty positive it wasn't a case of user error.

  • Just because you had symptoms early AND you happened to get pregnant that cycle does not mean that the early symptoms were pregnancy related. Correlation does not imply causation. Whether you get pregnant or not, you still have elevated progesterone which can result in pregnancy-like symptoms. Maybe in rare cases someone can implant early and have really early symptoms, but it's more reasonable to assume that anything before 4 weeks pregnant is related to progesterone.

Yup. Just sharing my personal experience.
