I've never been vaccinated for the Flu or the DTap (pertussis?) but I will be because it is what has been recommended. My question is I'm doing it to pass immunity onto baby but I'm thinking my boyfriend should get both vaccines to so that he doesn't bring anything home to baby and I. I plan to ask my doctor at my appointment in a couple weeks but was just wondering what you all are doing or think about having your boyfriends/husbands/SO vaccinated? (sorry if this has been asked I don't recall seeing anything about it)
Re: Vaccines, not the usual question
Dh and I always get flu shots. I'll get the tdap per my doc's recommendation, though we're both up to date. We're also asking all grandparents, since they'll be staying with us at within the first few months, to get the flu shot and check that they're up-to-date for tdap.
How did your family react to that? Mine and DH's family haven't took too well to our request.

If he wasn't already immune to pertussis, I'd definitely have him get the DTap- it is recommended for your spouse/ childcare providers and anyone who will be around LO a lot in the first month or two.
