Newly pregnant with baby #2, baby #1 is 13 months.
Should we just get another single stroller, or is a double stroller a must-have? (I told DH we should get a double, he thinks I'm crazy. He thinks get another single and we can each push one.)
Will DH be with you all the time? What does he think you are going to do when you need to take them somewhere without him? I think with your age difference you will definitely want a double.

Mine are 14 months apart and went when with a double and 2 single umbrellas. If DH and I are together we use the umbrellas starting when DD was about 7 months. If we are not together I use the double. I would have stuck with a single and wear DD in the beginning but she hated all types of carriers. With all that being said now that DS is 2 he always wants out of his stroller to walk. We waited until DD was about 3 weeks old before I bought the double so I could see what would be best .... And for the first 3 weeks I didn't go anywhere alone with them since so much family was visiting.
I'd get a double . My oldest was 21 months when her sister was born and our double was a life saver . Since then we have had two more kids and our stroller continues to be one of the best purchases we have ever made . If you don't get out very often and NEVER by yourself then sure get a second but if not then sell your single and get yourselves a double .
Completely agree that you need a double and I would get one with a true seat for your older one. Even if they are capable of walking, there will be times when you want them contained especially while nursing or doing diaper changes, etc. I would only ever do 2 singles if you will never ever be out with both kids alone which is hard to imagine. I work FT but I am out with both kids by myself all the time. Also, I think it would just be annoying for both of you to have to be pushing a stroller all the time. You may want a break or you want to split up and take the kids to do something.

I ended up with a unconventional 3 with in 24 months and four days. I had my DD3 in August 0f 2012. My DH and I were granted custody of my nephew who turned 2 on February 10th 2011 and a niece who was born February 14th of this year. We finalized our adoption on August 14th. Nephew now walks most of the time, but I use a Valco Trimode ex twin. I have the third seat on it. I use it when going into malls so he isn't walking through the parking lot. I also have a city select (non triple), but we use it with a city mini when we travel. I never travel with out help. I love that this stroller can be a single stroller, or when needed you can add a second seat to it. It is compatible with many infant car seats. DD3 and Niece were in two different car seats. I had bought DD a Chaperone and needed a narrower car seat for the third row of my van. I had a Cybex Aton for niece (AKA DD4)
You need a double. Only 2 times since DS2 was born that DH & I used both our SnG and umbrella while out with the boys. The rest of the time we used a double.

Close to this happened to me while flying with my 2 kids last weekend while we didn't have a stroller with us. Hubby went to the bathroom and I took the kids to the family restroom. I was changing DS, DD turned the light off and I couldn't see a thing. DS peed on me and DD was screaming scared. The bathroom was huge and I didn't have access to my phone so I was carrying a peed on baby around a dark bathroom trying to find the light switch while DD freaked out. It was not fun. This in addition to a bunch of other reasons is why we now take a stroller everywhere.
We were 2 under 2, now 3 under 3!
