TTC after 35

TTC and crampy

I recently went off the pill and am expecting it to take some time to conceive and I feel like my period is coming. I am a couple of days late but kind of chalk that up to irregular cycle since I went off pill.  I am very crampy, etc. Just wondering if you can have that crampy, period feeling while first getting pregnant.

Re: TTC and crampy

  • That's a hard question to answer - everyone is different.  I have had so many preggo symptons and ended up totally not being pregnant.  AF faking me out.  I have had two children and I remember with my first I had cramping and spotting - doctor performed (as precaution due to my age) an inside U/S done....sorry could not remember the technical name...... and that is when they found out there were two saks....but only one ended up developing which is my 4-1/2 yr old daughter today. My son was conceived on my second cycle off of BC.  I remember some cramping with him but no spotting.  Could also be ovulation cramps or could be implantation. Sorry I wasn't more help to you.

  • cramping is normal in every cycle whether you are PG or not.... we can't tell you if you are pregnant just take a test.

I am sorry if you misunderstood. I wasn't expecting anyone on here to be able to tell if I was PG, I was just asking if anyone had experienced cramping when they were initially pregnant.

  •  No, I never experienced that. For me, when I am first preg I have NO pms symptoms which for me means buy a test. Never had implantation cramping or any of that.
  • yes it is possible to be crampy and itnitially pregnant but it s also possible to be crampy or not.... all you can do is take a test.

  • I got a bfp this month on the third month of ttc after a early mc in June. I had af cramps off and on the days leading up to my expected af and then the days being late before testing (3 days) I seriously expected af to arrive any second. I don't recall having cramps with my other children and it's been 10 years since then. Every month I get the same cramps though for af so just shows that it can go either way.
