I was an elementary school teacher but quit to help my husband with his business when we got married. Now I help him run his stores, but lately I just stay home sick. I can't wait to be a SAHM with my LO.
I am currently at home, but am an attorney. Before DD was born, I practiced at a nonprofit organization for battered women -- I filed victim-based immigration petitions for our undocumented clients.
I'm a quality assurance specialist and the office manager. Aside from that i go to school for hospitality and tourism management. That's my real passion.
I'm also a Speech-Language Pathologist. My full-time job is at an elementary school, but I also work part-time doing early intervention for children under age 3 in their homes and at a nursing home working with adults.
Licensed veterinary technician. I will continue working after baby. I love my job and couldn't afford not to work. Hoping DH can be a mostly stay at home dad.
I work for the Army Corps of Engineers as a wetland specialist and ecologist. I'm currently on a team developing and constructing ecological restoration projects using Federal grant money. I love my job!!!
I am a caseworker for a residential facility for at risk youth and a training specialist/hr liaison for a contracted statewide program as a second job. The second job is all online work. I hope it goes full time and I can be a work from home momma.
I work at a Homeless shelter as a front line worker (so do all the odd jobs, plus am the contact for all the clients, do referrals, be emotional support....)
Eventually I do want to go back to school and work in Adoptions or Foster Care support.
It seems like we have the same heart. I want to adopt one day, hopefully a sibling set, but I would LOVE to work in the same fields you mention. We can all do so much more than we usually do to help others.
I'm a HS French teacher. I am also the Color Guard instructor, but I won't be continuing with that after this season. I am ready for a break from that, though I will continue teaching.
I speak French also and have taught, though not high school.
Social worker but I hope to get a part time job somewhere. After the kids go to school full time I hope to go back to school to get my masters in speech and language pathology!!
I'm a manager/server at a busy local restaurant. I work with a lot of teachers and my bf's friends wives are all teachers. And most of you are teachers. My dad became a teacher for about 10 years before he retired. Maybe it's a hint.

I'm an associate director of marketing for very large nonprofit. I love my job and plan on continuing to work fulltime after the baby ... although I know it's going to be so hard. Timing is a bitch for us women -- as soon as I finish grad school and hit my stride career-wise, it's time to have a baby (I'm 33)!
I am a personal injury attorney. I work for my DH's law firm, so I will continue to work from home after the baby comes. Since I work for DH, my schedule is (thankfully) very flexible.

What great work! I take on probono work for undocumented (mostly women) clients who have been subject to abuses in the US, too. It's very sad though very rewarding work.
I'm a SAHM. I used to be a registrar at a college for 5 years but staying at home was better for my health. *Dealing with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome* Being a SAHM is by far the best job I've ever had!! :x
