31 weeks today!! So glad I made it this far!
I have an appointment with my mfm tomorrow. Hope everything looks great with the babies.
No, we were thinking about it but now that I'm on SBR we can't.
DH had some friends over. My little one loves the noise because she was on a roll kicking and dancing. My house is normally very quiet. I went to be at 1am took me about an hr to actually knock out. I was up every hr to use the bathroom. These bathroom breaks are so annoying.
My mom came over last night and showed me the stuff she bought for my hospital bag and also brought my center pieces that I had delivered to her house.
Qotd: If I can find a breast feeding class once off bedrest I would love to attend one.
Update: 32w 5d. Baby boy has been doing a lot of really big movements or maybe they just feel really big because he is so far down in my pelvis. Had a weird contraction last night while on monitors. It lasted for three minutes and was not painful but really uncomfortable. My nurse said it was a dysfunctional contraction. Kids didn't react at all to it. Still on track to go home on Tuesday!
QOTD: Since I'm having a C section, no birth class needed. My hospital has lots of lactation assistance. There is a hierarchy - NICU moms first, then multiples, then other moms. I've already talked to them about getting ready.

I slept well. I think I've processed what I needed to from the pre-e diagnosis, accepted it, and am now ready to move on! I'm looking at either a Pitocin/ mag sulfate (probably long) induction or csection. They are giving me the option of a trial of labor or cutting straight to the chase. I'm still iffy on what I will chose - I think it will depend on - severity of my pre-e, cervical readiness, and my emotional state at the time.
I'm 34 and 4 today and feel blessed and lucky to have made it this far! Every day, hour, minute she's baking in there counts!
I started sleeping on a puppy pee pad just in case my water breaks... slim chance I know but since it's not uncommon for pre-e women to go into labor early I'd rather be prepared. Also almost finished putting together my hospital bag. Feeling good and accomplished this morning.
I took a 9 hour birthing/newborn care class with hubby a few months ago because he wanted the experience. It was useless. I will take any BF classes or support groups I can find though and hope for the best!
Hey ladies! I slept crappy last night. My nurse was not on the ball and the babies were not cooperating so I was on the fetal monitor from 11:30-2am. Then I woke up at 4:45am with contractions....they stuck around until about 7am, got another IV of fluids and that helped stop them. Pretty much sealed the deal for me not going home tomorrow after my MFM apt. Oh well, its for the best because if I was home I would over do it.
QOTD: We signed up for a multiples birth class and its on Oct 1....luckily its in the hospital I am in so maybe DH will be able to wheel me down to the class and we can still go. Anyone interested in a BFing class, I highly recommend it if its your first, BFing is overwhelming!
Mariana: sounds like you have really out some thought into your birth plan. I agree with the lets see what's going on with your cervix and the pre-e before just going for c-section..
Sms: sorry about the contractions. The hospital is def the best place for you right now... I am going to look into the breast feeding class since I will be a ftm and have no idea what I am doing.
Slept well last night, woke up at 7on the dot- that seems to be the time I always wake up these days.
My fam was here yesterday to have a bday dinner for me (bday is tuesday). I tried to sit at the table to eat and started having contractions every few minutes, so i scarfed it down then excused myself to go back to laying down. I was really frustrated. Now my fam is off to the ravens game I was supposed to be going to. Hope they all at least r enjoying my bday weekend, since I cant! But every time I start to feel bad for myself, I remind myself of my last few birthdays where I was going through IF treatments, and I try to remind myself how lucky I am now.
I have four classes scheduled, anesthesia, bf, childbirth and cpr, but I think i need to cancel them all now and try to find online versions. If anyone knows of good online alternatives, let me know. going to ask my ob during my appt tomorrow as well.
Sft: sorry you had to spend your bday weekend on bedrest. Please be kind to yourself. Thinking about your fertility struggles and where your at now is a great boost. My bday is in less then 3wks I am trying to prepare myself too. As my last bday which was my 30th I was suppose to be pregnant but instead i was mourning the loss of my son so this yr I am just grateful to be pregnant and almost at the finish line... Sending hugs cheer up..
How did everyone sleep? Sleep was okay. I'm loaded up on medications right now, so I think that helps. I did wake up early this morning starving - so I grabbed some breakfast then went back to sleep and just woke up again (10:30). Can't remember the last time I did that! I think the BP medication they have me on makes me sleepy.
Milestones, updates? We hit 32 weeks on Friday - which means we can deliver in our town now - but I also ended up going to L&D that evening too with BP of 160/100. They aren't sure if I'm having a adverse reaction to my medication or if it is my pre-e progressing. So I'm still on my BP medication - but they've added anti nausea & pain meds (for headaches) to it as well. I have a follow up on Tuesday and the L&D doctor on call who works at my practice wants me to start 2xweek visits. We'll have the 24 hour urine analysis back on Tuesday too - so we should have more insight.
Qotd: Are you going to take any birth or breast feeding classes? No, we are having a c-section so have talked in depth with my OB about it and don't feel as though we need the class. Also, I have chosen to bottle feed as I won't be able to keep up with pumping as much as I'd need to for twins when I go back to work. I am open to the idea of that decision changing when the girls arrive - we'll cross that bridge if/when it gets here - and the hospital I will deliver at will have a lactation consultant on hand if I do.
