As if it's too much to want a little privacy when I go to the bathroom....

edited September 2013 in August 2012 Moms
now Kate has taken to grabbing toilet paper off of the roll and attempting to "wipe" between my legs as well. I get zero alone time in the bathroom anymore. As soon as she notices I'm in there, she comes running around the corner and makes a beeline for the toilet paper with an excited laugh. When I go in there while she's sleeping, the dog is so elated to have me all to himself that he frantically scratches on the door, pushes it open and jumps on my legs. Oh, well. I have had 36 years of bathroom privacy. It was a good run.

my bathroom buddy stuck his hand into peepee toilet water before i could flush yesterday. @_@ and he is obsessed with trying to steal the toilet brush.

Yeah, I have a tp thief. I am going to BRU later to try and find a lock for the bathroom door. I can't remember the last time I went to the bathroom alone....

At least she attempted to use the tissue appropriately.

I've had a cold the last few days, the other day DS rushes into the bathroom right behind me like my shadow, gets a nice piece of toilet tissue and starts wiping his nose.  Hilarious! I guess I should buy some facial/nasal tissue like proper ppl do.

W has this weird fascination with the toilet flushing. If he isn't already in the bathroom, he will high tail it across the house, screeching, to see the toilet flush.

DS loves the toilet brush. We joke that he wants to be a janitor.

DS joins me in the bathroom. He like squats with his hands on his knees and watches me pee and wipe. He is fascinated. He hasn't tried to help or anything yet. But I have gotten quite pee shy these past few weeks.

DS just wants to open and close the door the whole time and play Peekaboo.

Lmao @Medhp00 seriously funny stuff right there.

I lock the bathroom door because I want privacy. O knocks on the door but eventually goes away. It's my down time and I enjoy it in peace.

Im so glad to read that this is normal! DS watches me wipe, and tried to stand up using my legs as im going!.  I dont lock the door because outside the bathroom hallway is a single step into the next room and I would rather him bother me in the bathroom then finagle his way down the step- even though he knows how to scoot his butt slowly down the step--I still fear that his is going to fall and the next room has slate floor!

I usually confine T to his jumper for the 30 seconds I have to go pee. He can get into too much trouble without someone right there.

Max just sits outside the door and knocks and yells AHHHHHH or HEEEEEEYYYY the entire time I'm in the bathroom. Sometimes SO forgets to close the door so Max gets to watch him use the restroom, which might explain why Max stands and pees in the bathtub or by the wall in the bathroom near the bathtub.

My DH jept telling me I was mean for shuting the door an making DS cry when I won't let him follow me into the bathroom. Then about 2 weeks ago he was in the bathroom and DS followed him. 30 seconds later DH is frantically yelling for me. DS chucked his mega block into the toliet and proceeded to stick both hands in DH's pee stream....So gross and so funny at the same time. DH always shuts the door now.

I made the mistake of showing DD how to flush so now she attempts to flush the whole time I'm in there. And today she went behind the shower curtain and pulled out her bucket of bath toys, sat on the stool, and started playing. Now that was ok lol
