The hormones got the best of me!

This morning while DH was in the shower, I went to pull his phone off the charger to plug mine in and noticed he had a text message. Thinking it was his office, I check it. It is a number with a picture of a 16 foot stripper polein someone's living room. The message that came along with it was sent at 1:30 am inviting my husband to a party and saying something to the effect, "My girlfriends and I just had a 16 foot stripper pole installed in our living room. Come check it out. We are having a party with drinks and dancing and will be trying out the stripper pole..the adress is ______." It went into more detail. I was like, wtf? I started wondering what was going on. I didn't know who this person was and why they would invite my husband to a party in the middle of the night with dancing on a 16 foot stripper pole. The thing that makes it more strange is that this was a local call with a local address. My husband has an Austin telephone number he has had since we lived there many years ago. So unlikely it's a wrong number. I ask my husband about it and he denies knowing anything about it or who the texter is. In my hormonal state, my mind is going a little crazy.

I do a reverse look up and find out it is this guy that used to work for dh. If you knew the guy, the text would make perfect sense. He was a college kid and kind of weird and always inviting us to his parties...which we never went to. He tried to even hook up with my friend who was 20 years his senior one time. SMH. I had to apologize to my DH for overreacting. Sigh.

Hormones or not my mind always spins with things like that. Especially with DH. . I would have flipped. Lol

Haha, been there done that!  MH had a lunch date with a former coworker who is in her 50's because she was looking for a divorce attorney, which MH knows a good one.  I totally lost my sh!t on him last pregnancy thinking he was hooking up with someone behind my back.  To be fair, her name was something like Sunshine or Bambi.  Hormones are such a B.  I really have to watch myself sometimes.

Yeah - That isn't a text I would be happy to see either and I have no hormones to blame.

I freaked out the other night just bc my DH was half an hour late from work. I think you are totally justified in freaking out about that text.

As soon as I figured out who it was, I knew it was nbd. The guy is really strange. He actually once told me his ex fiances's ex boyfriend was tailing him and trying to poison him with chemo. I was like, "WTF?" The only reason DH hired him was because DH shares office space with his Dad and the kid needed a summer job. This was about 4 years ago. I don't know why he would think we would want to come to his parties, but he has texted and invited both of us to them before. We never go.

Oh yeah, no bueno [-X I would have lost it, hormones or no hormones! The guy who sent the message sounds like a very interesting character.

Nah, I'd be all like, "WTF is this?" too and would probably have ripped him a new one about how I "college was over a long time ago ... grow up" or would have said something like, "seriously, would you honestly even think about going to this party and leaving your two kids and pregnant wife at home?" or "find new friends who act their age"  more than I would be concerned about cheating or anything like that.

To clarify, in my dh's defense, my husband is not good friends with this guy. Maybe the guy thinks they are, but he does not have the best grasp on reality. He met my friend mentioned above who is 43 (he is 23 or 24) and texted me and dh repeatedly for months trying to get us to give him her contact info despite telling him repeatedly she was not interested. She's a very attractive woman, but literally old enough to be his mother...and not even via a high school pregnancy. She was born in 71 and he was born in the 90s.

I would try to blame it on my hormones, but the truth is I would go for the jugular, hormones or not I am not very good at benefit of the doubt in situations like this.
