Recs for bigger hooded towels

My DD has outgrown her hooded towels. I really like them for her cause I feel like them keep her a little warmer than a regular towel. Any recs for good quality children's hooded towels?

  • You can also make them very easily. I googled instructions the other night and found tons.
    Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
    Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
    Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
    Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45
  • A friend of the family made one for us by taking a reg. size towel and sewing the short ends of a hand towel on the center of the long side of the large towel.  Basically she made a hood with a hand towel and attached it to a reg. towel.  I plan to do the same thing when we need more.

  • I have made some in the past. Fold a washcloth in half and sew the top together, then sew the bottom edge to the towel, it works great.
  • Do you have an Ikea nearby? We were just there yesterday and they had a bunch of really cute larger hooded towels. We got DD a frog one and it's great! They even had some for much older kids that snapped together to wear kind of like a poncho. It was cute :)

ETA: and they were all around $7-8!

  • we had the pbk ones for when they were little but they've outgrown them.  Instead of dropping that kind of cash, we made some AND found pretty cheap ones at IKEA.
  • We got ours at Kohl's.  If you find them on sale they are $7-8.  Very plush and cute!

Ditto. All you need is a bath towel and a hand towel and basic sewing skills. Really easy.
