My dd is going through a growth spurt and her top two teeth just broke through. Looooong day. I expect this week will be very long. On another note, I just bought her a bunch of fall clothes in her current size, and now, if she grows much, I'll have to buy all new clothes. This happens everytime I try to get a jump on things

I just went to Carter's today because DD needs warmer clothes now that we've had a few chillier days. I totally chickened out and got nothing.... She's 26 lbs right now, and 24 months clothes don't fit until 27.5 lbs. I don't want to buy 18 months clothes that she'll outgrow instantly, but 24 months clothes are too baggy right now. Gah.

I hate that stage. It seems like dd is in that stage at the start of every season. I always end up buying a few of the smaller size and wearing them out until I can fit her in the bigger size. At least with your dd you could maybe get away with a few pairs of pants and a few light jackets for now. It's still pretty toasty where I live though.

I wouldn't worry about sizing up based on weight.  My DD weighs 22lbs, but she wears 18, 24mo, and 2T clothes depending on the brand and style.  Actually she also still wears some 9mo clothes, lol, so I would just buy adaptable things and you'll be fine.
