XP- PSA Preeclampsia Registry

***Hello ladies. This is a XP from TTCAL and a few other boards. Someone suggested I XP here as well since it's likely several of you have been impacted by PreE. Take a look and participate if you can.

The Preeclampsia Registry has just launched and has gone live. The database’s purpose is to compile as much PreE information as possible, aid, and accelerate research.

As I have mentioned before, Preeclampsia affects close to 1 out of 10 pregnancies a year. Roughly 76,000 maternal and 500,000 infant deaths are reported because of Preeclampsia related complications every year. The numbers are staggerly high.

If you yourself has had Preeclampsia or know someone who has had/has Preeclampsia please pass the registry information along. Awareness, research and funding are the keys to saving infant and maternal lives.

Of course! The number of preemies is drastically impacted by PreE. My sister and a good friend are both lucky enough to have thriving little men that made it through PreE. The research is very important to me!

Thanks for sharing! I will look into registering. When I was in the hospital before delivering DD, I was shocked at how little was known about preeclampsia.
That's why it's so scary. So little is known and the symptoms are very commonly overlooked. Mine set in so fast, within 24 hours of having a headache I was having seizures. There are also Promise Walks all around the country that raise money for awareness, research and community impact.
